Chicago White Sox beat the Angels 8-1 today. I wonder when that gap in run differencial will go down. Still, maybe this year will be better than last year.

Wilmer Flores hit the game winning HR against the Reds. That was fun.

The end was shaky, but the Yankees start the season in the win column. Austin Wells picked up right where he left off in the spring, and his solid 2024 rookie season. I think he’ll be a big part of the lineup.

The Cardinals are undefeated and in sole possession of first place in the NL Central.

I figured I'd get that out there as this will be the only time I'll be able to type that out this season ;)

Giants showed similar things from Last year. The Double play really is a rally killer and the Giants must of hit like 5 or more DPs today. It's a long season and they should clean that up, but it will be more entertaining if they can score runs.

I watched most of that game, and the DP ball did seem to kill their momentum more than once in a game they should have won. Like you said, though, it's a long season. They'll adjust.

Checking the standings this morning and this looked really sad/strange to me. A team without a city. Wonder what their CC unis look like ;)

Is the rest of the league going to get a shot at using their bats?
Anyone can use them, not proprietary or anything! The rule on bats surprisingly has a lot of room for experimentation. The only requirements are that it can be no longer that 42 inches long, and no more than 2.61 inches (random number lol) in diameter at the thickest point. And that any custom colors have to be approved.

The Brewers lose to the Royals, 11-1.

I’m starting to think the problem isn’t the torpedo bats. I like the Brewers as a franchise, so it’s tough to see. But their closer made some dumb comments.

Metric unit?

The top two or three teams in the league are on fire right now...

Yankees (3-0, with 36 runs scored)
Dodgers (6-0 as of this post... with 36 runs scored) Wowzers.
Padres (5-0 as of this post...) Wowzers also, but they happen to be in the same division as the Dodgers.
