MLB 2026

I was wondering if we report on every Giant transaction here?
if so
They now have Harrison Bader, a good glove, okay bat.

oops, I did not see the previous post, I blame silly safari web browser!

Bader will be a good addition, if the rest of the lineup is strong enough that he can bat 7th or 8th.

Jung Hoo Lee should be less shaky defensively in RF.

Giants ink Luis Arrrrrrraez who led the league in Rs and BA for 3 seasons.
he must be toxic since no other club wants him, which is perfect for the baseball bay area!
Luis will most likely play second base and will serve as a ticket agent on the GGB on off days from 9-2pm

Yeah I saw that. And I wanna say he's stupid on the base path as well...
 
...or it could be that he's just not very good. He's a singles hitter. Full stop. He's never scored a hundred runs, or driven in a hundred. He's not a doubles triples or home run hitter. He doesn't have any serious injuries, but doesn't have a position that he plays well. He's posted two seasons with over a hundred errors at second, and he's a butcher at first base. At DH you simply can't have singles hitter. He's not fast never stolen really any bases. He's hit .224 in the post-season. "Ladies and Gentleman, now batting.... Manny Mota" His walk-up music should be "You Ain't a Goin Nowhere"

but he can collect a toll like no other!

and will be an asset on the Golden Gate Bridge thus relieve and thwart congested traffic on the US Highway 101
that is the reason they signed him, since the Giants do provide assisting with the welfare of that bridge
as per the 1958 GGB_SFG pact/agreement.
 
Definitely not a fan of Luis Arraez's game. Empty BA, no power, bad defense. I thought this type of player became obsolete by the mid-80s.

Thankfully the deal is only 1 year. I still have some hope that Casey Schmitt can contribute.

Apparently, he hits timely singles... that could be useful.. I mean if anyone gets on base in front of him.
 
But he doesn’t hit timely singles.

His best RBI yearly total is 69 in 2023. I wish MLB kept statistics on how many times a player was doubled up while on base, because given his lack of speed and the dearth of runs-scored, I bet he’d lead the league.

He’s more likely the league’s MDA Most Difficult Albatross.

Congratulations, he’s all yours! And he’ll pair nicely with Devers when he sours on management, which should occur in 10, 9, 8, …

Does anyone pay for mlb tv package? I got a strange email about it being through ESPN now?

Why is that, especially given how MLB has been so displeased with ESPN's baseball coverage.

I have for several years. It is our family's favorite "tv package". From what I understand You can still subscribe to the MLBTV like before, but now be able to watch in the ESPN APP. But if you haven't been a previous MLBTV subscriber you HAVE to sign up for ESPN Unlimited and MLBTV. You get 1 free month of ESPN Unlimited and can then cancel if you want and keep MLBTV. Of course this may change next year. You can also buy local team coverage now for many markets that are blacked out. I hope ESPN doesn't screw it up.
