i am experiencing the same issue. i called yesterday to change the text messaging plan and i am unable to view details on data until april 28. any way to get around that to locate this information ?

Radam my page is like yours

The only other thing that i did was try to downgrade to 2.2.1 then upgrade straight to beta 2, but remeber also check your At&t ipcc version to make sure its 3.5.

If it still Doesnt work after that, then i dont know, mine started to work as soon as At&t Changed my text messaging from iphone to standard text messaging

Ok, do this send picture message to yourself, if it fails, go to the at&t website log in and check your data usage, look at the last text that you sent, check the phone number that it is being sent to. if it is Wap.cingular, or anything else besides your phone number or a 10 digit phone number then

#1) you dont have the standard text messaging plan,

#2) they will also be a column that shows you what type of data that is being used, the column should say text/Im Messaging, there should not be anything different , if you see internet/Medianet or anything else besides Text/Im Messaging, then you phone is not setup correctly .

The messages should be going to actual phone numbers, not Wap.Cingular or 9634 or any other 4 digit numbers, should be a full 10 digit phone number

I am telling you guys, its At&t trust me, as long as you have beta 2 with 3.5 ipcc carrier version on your phone, and standard text messaging plan (non-iphone) you will be golden.

I myself have the unlimited text messaging plan non-iphone.

Hmm I just did this, mind you, my mms works on my iPhone.
1) MMS messages sent/received are not listed at all. They do not show up as data usage at all. Text messages sent and received show up as Text/IM Messages, but no MMS from the iPhone. I have the unlimited family plan. Perhaps MMS messages take some time to show up.
2) Messages I sent with swirlyMMS prior to the beta upgrade are listed as Multimedia Messaging and show the phone number(s) they were sent to. I can't confirm the messages I sent while on beta 1, cause I only had it for a few days and can't remember the dates.

Also my messages don't update quickly enough i the OLAM to check something I just sent, text, mms or otherwise.

Mine is working with the AT&T Carrier settings of 5.0. So I think that might be a non-issue as mine also worked with the 3.5 ipcc.

I myslef havs the unlimited text messaging plan non-iphone.

I have at&t, on beta 2, with 3.5 ipcc carrier version, on a family non-iphone unlimited text messaging plan, and it does not work. I am on hold with at&t right now to try and get them to provision my account to allow it, I think that might be the trick...

where did you get the carrier settings of 5.0? mine is 3.5

I used the US_ATT.ipcc file and updated the carrier settings. It is the same one I used to get MMS working on beta 1, I did not create it, I don't know who did, I downloaded it on the recommendation of someone on another forum and it immediately started working for me. It gives you settings for your cellular data network and a menu to turn on tethering.

thanks, ill keep you updated, what texting plan do you have?

Mine still doesn't work. What am I doing wrong?

  • at&t ipcc 5.0 carrier file loaded
  • account provisioned for mms by at&t rep
  • on 3.0 beta 2

EDIT: Now it works. It just took a while to kick in. I also had to restart my phone.

Mine says "wap.cingular Internet/MEdia Net" :(

Current plan stats show: "Messaging IMB UNLTD DOM - MSG4 UNLIMITED"

Usually, how willing are AT&T to change it to a standard text plan? Will I need to do some serious begging?

honestly I have no idea, some can't seem to get it working to save their life and some have no problems at all.

First thing I would do is make sure mms worked on my account, put your sim in an mms supported phone and send yourself a message, see if it works.

AT&T 3.5 is what you have when you load the beta. I have not seen a hacked ipcc file that makes the carrier settings 3.5.

For those of us who have foolishly overwritten the original ipcc that came with the beta, could somebody kindly post the AT&T 3.5 ipcc file somewhere? That would be killer.

Oh, also:
Is your mms working? No
are u on a 8 gig or 16 gig.. 8 gig
what location are u in the USA Portland, OR
what plan are u on? 1500 Messaging plan (non-iphone package)
did u restore from a backup? No, updated normally
did u edit any files? Yes and No; doesn't work with the 3.0 or 5.0 ipcc

What ipcc file did you use? My mms still works fine with the ipcc file I posted. And restoring the 3.0 beta 2 should get you back where you want in terms of carrier settings.

I've tried the ipcc file you posted, I've tried the original 3.0 ipcc, and I've tried a 5.0 ipcc that I've built. Nothing works so far. I guess I'll have to try giving a restore a shot.

I have 3.0 b2, but AT&T 3.0 (7A259G)...

Can anyone help me out on getting 3.5 and MMS?

You're looking at the wrong thing. Look down a few, it will say: "AT&T 3.5"

That's what's on mine.

HOW are you people getting MMS to work????
