Advertising ideas for Apple

Old slow and injured .mac --- not quite reliable for business...(so the guys here say)

New swanky and AJAXy .me --- now not even reliable for sending granny pics of the grandkids!

Down again? ugh.

Ok, I get that Mobile Me is broken, but what could have possibly happened that would require an extra 24+ hours to fix it?

I had the stupid idea of signing out to sign in again to see if it worked.

Now I can't sign in again.... damn it!

Don't do it... :(

Yup, I made that mistake too.

I thought maybe it'd prompt me for the system pref update if i did that. now, i'm logged out. been logged out for about 5 hours now.

They never should have used the mantra "Exchange for the rest of us."

Referring to a Microsoft product is only bound to call for terrible things like this. Apple should come up with original ideas, not take another company's ideas and screw it up even more!

In all honesty, I refuse to get really irritated until tomorrow. If it's not working before the iPhone3G release, I'll start to get twisted. We also need the 2.0 update, as well as the MobileMe updater. Arrrgghhh!!

Ismobilemeup.com seems like a good idea. Will that reduce the stress we are putting on their servers?

You aren't stressing their servers, trust me. The problems they are having are much deeper than that. Have patience - I think the only thing they have left to fix is the email - everything else worked on that last uptime, except that. That's my guess...

I got onto mail and it worked. Then it died.

Yeah, but everything was still dead slow. Hopefully they fix that as well.

iLife Update

I have downloaded the MobileMe sys pref update but it has not updated the iLife apps. Anyone else experience this?

If it was the stress on their servers that was causing it to fail, I'm sure they could institute some sort of queuing mechanism anyways to stagger the load....

That's my guess too, but some people said their mail was working, so who knows.

I wonder if the problem is with the implementing the push service. What else could they have such a hard time with, and mail, etc has been working for the most part for everyone else all day not using the web UI. I don't even know, I'm just thinking out loud now. I'll stop.
