how am i spamming? i am new to adding to the blogs but i've been a daily visitor to macrumors for over 3 years now and have been an apple lover back in the "classic" os days... Call BS if you wish, i don't care if you believe me or not. But do not question my apply loyalty but calling me a spammer!

Thanks!
I dont belive you but if your right you earn my trust.

Microsoft never has these problems...oh probly cause no one cares...;)

Anywho it is annoying. You're not going to attract the business world with this kind of crap.:(

i can't log in.

actually, i don't even get the opportunity. haven't been able to all day.

when i type either mobileme.com or me.com, i get redirected to apple.com/mobileme, the product page.

ugh! i'm a .mac subscriber and i'm excited to try this out. i realize, though, that with a global launch on something of this proportion, it may take awhile for the loads to be taken care of.

does anyone else still get the maintenance page when they head over to mac.com?

Yea, I still get the maintenance page. Don't expect to see .mac back online unless apple can't get MM up by tomorrow night. I which case, SJ will most likely be charged with several counts of murder.

Don

My 4 apple insider sources tell me MobileMe will be up within the next year. I doubt they're wrong.

I understand that completely - just don't call me a spammer! Sorry for sharing the information that i've learned.. Just wanting to contribute for once!

Name calling isn't a nice thing to do, for sure. But some people are, understandably, suspicious when someone who joined this month posts a claim like yours—no offense to you, of course, especially if you're statement was correct. I think it would be nice if, when someone sees something *they think* is spam, they just leave it at that, for two reasons:

1. If it IS spam, then the spammer only puts it in to generate more spam, which almost always works (e.g. this message, which wouldn't be here without the original/followup posts). The spammer wins.

2. If it is NOT spam, then it's simply annoying to have five people argue in a thread that it is or is not spam...

Just saying...

EDIT: I just noticed I'm a '6502'! I have no idea what it means, but it must be somehow different than being simply 'regular.'

I'm not calling you a spammer at all, I'm just saying don't expect people to believe you. I'm not against you posting the information either way and don't consider you a spammer, I'm just saying don't expect to be believed as you haven't proven that you have good info(yet:))

Apple had to know they would be portrayed poorly in the media if the transition didn't happen in their projected time, so Apple would not hurt themselves intentionally. I bet Steve has already had to do a few hours of primal scream therapy today, and take several doses of blood pressure medicine.

bravo! LMFAO

Steve doesn't ingest anything that isn't natural or non living.

Why would you stay up until 5am this morning if your "sources" told you everything would be up and running at 8am EDT on Friday?

no, just all day haha. i can't believe i've spent so much time on the computer today waiting for this. i should get that checked out.

Ha ha! We all should... of course, I had to eat and do other miscellaneous activities at various times, in order to remain functional.

Have a good night; see you—and hopefully MobileMe—in the morning!

because my sources didn't even think to ask their sources tell today.. come on! they work for a completely different department.

My sources say that not only is MobileMe famous, it's in-famous

had it for about 5 (slow) minutes. my contacts where not complete and not all my alias had it's color labels.

hope it faster ... a lot faster.

Look, it's very late on the East coast and I have to be up for work again in 5 hours. Since I can't be troubled with this nonsense, please just apologize for your lies and kindly end your life. That is all.

i will gladly apologize if my sources are wrong - they do not directly work for the mobileme department.. They are not lies.. Just sharing the information I have - isn't that what this site is for?

Ummm MobileMe is not for businesses:

MobileMe accounts are also not intended to be used for FTP access and downloading

Just out of curiousity, has anyone tried the link to the actual login page instead of http://www.me.com/ ? I don't have time to read a 36 page thread to find out.

https://auth.apple.com/authenticate

I would try it myself but I don't have a .Mac or MobileMe account.

Yes, it shows the login screen, but once you try to login, it redirects to "http://www.apple.com/mobileme". No way around it.

Don

Ok guys... so I emailed sjobs@apple.com....

I highly doubt that Steve Jobs would have such an easy to guess email address. not to mention that my friend that works at apple mentioned once that the apple.com addresses are for internal use only. so there's probably a filter that junks anything not coming from a legit intranet computer. especially on Steve's account. or if not junked then sent to some office to be dealt with appropriately
