why should we have to pay for 3 days of our .mac subscription if we cant use it

Because is $99/year which is $0.27/day or $0.82 for 3 days. For what services are provided, $99/year is a great deal. Furthermore, read the terms and conditions.

You'll probably get a couple of days credit. That's what Blizzard does when WoW keeps going down.

On the other hand Apple could be like MS is with XBox Live and tell you to get lost.

System Prefs Log In Finally!!!

First time SYSTEM PREFERENCES let me log in was JUST NOW.

Syncing everything...we'll see...

how long should it take for Push to .... push?

i changed a contact in my iPod Touch and then expected to see Address Book be updated and it wasn't and still isnt 15 minutes later. is there something i have to do or what? it worked when i added something to my address book and then ended up on my iPod contacts. kinda inconsistent or something.

Yeah, something tells me they're not going to send you out a check for 81 cents.

Get over it.

($99/365)*3.

And yes, as FreeState mentioned, it's only been like 25 hours. *SNORE* NO CHECK FOR 27 CENTS FOR YOU! K THX BAI NOM NOM NOM o_O

dont even bother until you have 2.0 on the touch

do you have the update

No, nothing is coming thru SOFTWARE UPDATE for me.

But it's the first time it accepted my info and didn't give me the error message when I tried to log in thru System Preferences.

Still syncing...just finished...

Although, the STATUS says LAST SYNC: NEVER SYNCHRONIZED WITH .MAC

I give up...

I think the push may be working on and off.

Does anyone know what is the reliability of the 20GB of storage included in MobileMe (either by experience with .Mac or by knowing how Apple stores the data)... anyone ever lost their files in their iDisks? I am trying to assess if it is a good place to store my most important stuff in case of a major disaster

I would 'think' it would be pretty darn reliable.

alright 20 minutes later push from my iPod Touch updated on my MBP. looks like its working, its just slow. now if only me.com would work.

and the link to my iDisk Public is still a .mac address in my sysprefs and thats bugging the hell out of me.

Another question that has not been answered in the MobileMe video - when I change something in iCal.app - does it push the change instantly to the cutesy little pink cloud or does it wait for me to do a Sync Now? If I set the Sync to automatic, does it send the changes to the cloud every time there is a change? I would very much would like it to do that...

Still nothing on the software update and nothing on the sys pref but I got into a web-based page and viewing my contact and calendar for a bit.

But still nothing here in the Far East....as in Thailand :(

Odd...

Logged into .Me - synced everything. Logged out - Logged back in, .Me thought i was synching a new machine. Hmmm...

'A computer named "MacBook - xxxxxxx" is already registered with the MobileMe synchronization server."

"If you use the same name for two different computers you may lose your synchronized information on all registered computers and devices.

You can safely reuse a previously registered name if you are sure it is the only computer now using this name under your MobileMe account."
