I haven't seen one for the MB in person. But if it is anything like the anti-glare film for iPhone, then no thanks. It makes the image a little blur, and the color looks dull.

But it has it's benefits as well:
"Antiglare film is made from absorbing liquid crystal filter that reduces the glare from fluorescent and sun light to allow easy viewing. The special Antiglare film not only reduces the utlraviolet radiation emitted from the monitor by 70%, reducing the burden on your eyes but controls the deterioration of your liquid crystal monitor by blocking out ultraviolet light and protects it from scratching and dirt.

The Antiglare film is made from a material that does not require tape to apply to the monitor so all you need to do is place over your display."

Source: The webpage I just posted.

P.S.: I have this and I have no complains at all. I do not have any eye strain after I have applied this film and I do not notice and noticeable difference in "dullness" or quality of the display.

I have an LED lit vaio SZ with a cracked screen

I will take a picture of my connector / cable that goes with my vaio

can you do me a huuuuuuuuuuuuuge favor and take a picture of the connector of the MB, both the cable and the connector

if they are the same, i can send fund :)

email me at epyon@ucla.edu

Here is the cable to my Vaio SZ, it has 35 pins, and since its an LED screen there is no inverter cable for the screen

let me know if they are similar

this would be awesome if the screens were interchangeable @__@

Can you give us a link to the hardware for the 2
hard drive mod?

There are no off the shelf cables, you have to rig the power cable yourself. I got my cables at satascables.com. It's not hard at all.

Sorry, there are only 30 pins for b133ew03, so they are not the same. I'm sure you can find cheap replacement ones on ebay or something. Open your panel and look for the model #.

hahah i went through the same crap with my LTD1333EXBX

they send me LTD133EX2X, then exex,

i gave up after I realized that any shop trying to get me the LCD panel was trying to get a profit and would ultimately (if they ever found the panel) charge me $100 more than direct from the manufacturer

So i've done a comparison of connectors myself, and it seems MBA and MB Alu's are the same.

So i ordered the b133ew03 (MBA's panel) today and it should be here next week.

Meanwhile, I got really annoyed by the reflection, so I figured, oh why the heck not, let's just try to open the panel for fun because:

1. even if I break the glass, I can make my own bezel..
2. if the new panel doesn't work - at least the glass reflection can be removed

so I got my t6 screwdriver (which finally arrived today), and separated the panel from the unibody. After removing black hinge plastic and the wireless components inside, I was discouraged by how seemly impossible it is to remove the glass.

Then I had an idea. I grabbed a replacement box cutter blade and wedged it between the thin rubber and the glass. After wiggling several times, the glass started to come out. (at this point, I realized that it isn't really glass, as someone told me in the forum, it's like a mixture of glass and plastic, but I will still call it the glass for now).

I was ecstatic and used more force to yank more the glass out. Then... I broke it.. hehe here is the glorious pic:

But I gotta say, the glass is definitely removable, it just requires a LOT A LOT of patience.

Now that I got that removed, the glare is so much more manageable.. yay. I just need to wait for the new panel to arrive and order a black macbook bezel. The bezel will require some cutting and sanding, but the basic size is the same.

Here is the picture of the glass off.

The back end label for the LCD:

I'll give more updates when the new lcd panel arrives.

biggest. balls. ever.

Oh and by the way, I have an extra MBA lcd panel just lying around. I'd sell it to you for a bit less than you might find it from online dealers. I had originally planned on using on something, but that plan petered out... Give me a PM if you're interested.

Come on dude it can't take this long! The suspense has been killing me to see this done!!!!!!
