I was on a 10-day trip in the Pacific Northwest (Seattle, British Columbia, and Alaska) when mine stopped working. I filed a chargeback because I never could get ahold of support.

Batteries are probably fried too. This is why i never use aftermarket accessories. Im still using my launch day magsafe duo never had 1 problem. OEM for life

Yep. That's why Timmy keeps the lightning port

Did a chat with zagg, and all they did was tell me to email them my serial number and they'd let me know when they were going to push out the firmware update....mine works more than it does not...and I only use it will traveling. so I'm okay for now.

I purchased one a few months ago and it's been working flawlessly until my last trip. I had it replaced under warranty but it kinda sucks that I had to pay $10 to get a b-stock replacement. Since they are acknowledging the issue they should refund me!

Just returned the 2 I had (Brandon, FL). Stores were informed and do know about the refund process. However, stores were not told at the same time they pulled the product off the shelves, which probably caused the miscommunication.

how is this better than the $30 no name knockoffs on amazon? i have a couple of those and they work great.
We have two knockoffs that I’m happy with BUT a first worked great, so I bought another for my partner. Ended up getting three more before she got one that worked. So now I’m a bit dubious.

Interesting. I've had one for a year and a half and I love it. I only use it when I'm traveling though, which is usually only 1-2 nights a week but it's been super convenient. I'm gonna hang onto mine and see what happens with the firmware update.

Still waiting for the day they do something similar for the first gen HomePods that popped and crapped out though.

I just had a funny interaction with apple support. First chat agent said no to refund and referred me to manufacturer. I said no thanks to that and waited. Next agent researched for a few minutes and also told me to take a hike. Just before ending the chat, a third agent popped on and said no problem he can process the return. He said the other agents must not have checked their email today. 😅

I suggest waiting a day to request online return. Hopefully the news will spread internally.

I had two chats so far and both of them told me it was a problem that Apple will not be involved with. I'll try again tomorrow.

Would you all consider looking into why the Apple Store in China stopped selling the Belkin Wemo smart plug? I bought 2 here and love them, now want to get more but they don't carry them anymore. They still carry the smart plugs from Aqara, but those require the aqara app to set up, a hub, don't have thread, AND are freaking big and waste space on my power cords splitter.

But the Belkin nightstand doesn't fold up into a very nice compact little travel accessory. That was always the draw of the Mophie for my wife and I.
Belkin, you don't really know until you own it how bad their items are, Anker; as well 3rd party accessories are always a risk.

Mophie's 3-in-1 Travel Charger with MagSafe has been temporarily removed from the Apple online store due to ongoing charging issues. You also can no longer purchase the accessory directly from ZAGG's website.

Beginning in late June, users in Apple's discussions community began pointing out an issue where an iPhone, Apple Watch, or AirPods placed on the charger would fail to get a consistent charge. The devices would constantly ping as they disconnected and reconnected to the charging source.

Many of the users in the thread on Apple's discussions community mentioned that they had owned the Travel Charger for over a year with no problems, and all began having the same issue around the same date. Apple has now recalled the accessory, so if you purchased it at an Apple Store or on Apple's website you can contact them for a full refund.

In a response on its website, ZAGG noted that it is aware of the issue with the Travel Charger, "which can cause intermittent charging with your device." The company said it has identified the issue and will release a firmware update to the accessory soon. It's unclear when the Travel Charger will return to the Apple Store and ZAGG store.

Mophie originally launched the Travel Charger in January 2022 at a price of $150. It's a MagSafe-compatible accessory that provides simultaneous charging to an iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods. It includes a USB-C wall adapter and USB-C cable in the box.

(Thanks, James!)

Is there an official document from Apple that says they will do a refund on that? My Mophie charger is having that exact problem. I bought it from Apple Store Singapore in December last year. I called Apple Singapore this morning, but they told me they did not receive any information regarding that. They told me to contact Mophie instead.

I've had one of these for about 16 months and not had an issue, and I very recently bought one for my other half as a gift. It's still in its box, yet to be handed over. Both bought from Apple online. What's the best thing to do here? Ask for a refund on both of them, or just the unopened one?

I had multiple chats and calls with different reps after Zagg denied the replacement claim (after I paid the $7 shipping fee, which they refunded) - reps at Apple gave me all sorts of reasons as to why this and why that.

Ultimately, still to my surprise, the last one I chatted with yesterday recommended I make an appointment at my local Apple Store to deal with this even though I purchased it online - fortunately it's less than 10 min away from my office on foot, so I set it up for later today.

I'm not holding my breath and am expecting to hear something like "you bought it online, we can't do anything for you in store - call customer service", but we'll see.

Is anyone who is experiencing this problem on the iOS 17 beta? I am on the betas of the watch and phone, and my devices are charging fine on the 3-in-1 charger. I wonder if something got messed up in the 16.x release, but will resolve with 17?
Just checked, and No it doesn't work on mine with the Beta. It charges then stops and all you hear are the dings.

I've used it a total of 5 nights. worked for 4 several months ago, last time over the early 4th holiday, it stopped working. I tried to get a warranty done with Zagg. They closed it out without informing me why. Finally had to call twice and they said they were waiting for "Apple" to fix it with an update since that's what broke it. Ha!
They had billed me the $9.99 shipping but refunded it when they cancelled the warranty claim. While there service person was very helpful, I'm not thrilled with there overall response to this.

Probably last product I'll ever buy from them.

My Apple Duo still works even with the bigger bump on my iPhone, and the only thing i lose is the triple charging ability. Oh well... at least it still works, slowly but surely, but I don't care since I just charge overnight anyway.

Thanks for responding! Mine actually stopped working yesterday as well.
I took them to the Apple Store and they fully refunded me, despite being purchased well over a year ago. They were a bit incredulous and were about to schedule me a genius appointment until I mentioned that they had just pulled them from the shelves and stopped selling them. The Genius said "oh the floppy ones?" and when I responded yes, she realized what I was doing and quickly processed the refund. Seems like they had a bulletin or something so they are aware, but you have to flag it for them to stand out from the hundreds of people who just come in with charging "issues".

I just contacted Apple, since I bought directly from the Apple Store online. I went armed with the link to this article, and this thread from Apple Communities:

The representative I chatted with was a little dense, and at some point I had to ask her if she was a real person, because she was so heavily scripted. But in the end, she agreed to process the refund, and I'm supposed to get an email "within 48 hours" with the return labels. We'll see if they follow through. I think it's helpful to have the references handy when interfacing with Apple.

Well props to the Apple Store genius who handled my case, it took some explaining but at least they and their manager were efficient about it - the recall was not news to them and the refund was processed.

I’m not only glad the AS employees provide actual service compared to the other channels, but also very happy to be rid of the mophie charger.

I recognize they have identify this issue , but this doesn’t not allow me as a customer for mitigating this issue, this is why it’s critical to provide a timetable on your resolution plan

As a customer I need to understand my mitigation plan , what do I do , do I purchase something else , do I wait to wait and see when your proposal will maybe be released

Can we see how this is going,
