And the fingerprints... eek. You'd need one wiping cloth for your iPhone and another for the trackpad. They're slowly turning their user base into full-time cleaning ladies (except, cleaning ladies get paid).I hope the glass is frosted and has some texture that makes it easy to slide across the surface, especially with this click mechanism. A click and drag operation could be hard to accomplish on a glossy glass surface.
Tempting stuff, Apple. Real tempting...
If it holds true that the new MBPs are glossy screens only, that will be another reason to hold off until January for the updated Mac Pros. I'm a graphic designer.
Hopefully this will all make sense tomorrow.
Currently on a (soon to be previous gen...) MBP.
I'm very skeptical that Apple will give us glossy only Macbook Pros. Oh please I hope not that would be just awful.
No new 17" macbook pro's.. only glossy screens? Apple is getting more and more consumer focussed. lame lame lame. Let the pro users wait, will the new cinema displays also get glossy screens or something? will buy a Eizo/NEC display. Apple say bye bye to your pro (graphic) users and continue with your ipod/phone consumer bizz.
I'd really love to know why all of you people hate glossy so much? What's the big deal?If it holds true that the new MBPs are glossy screens only, that will be another reason to hold off until January for the updated Mac Pros. I'm a graphic designer.
If the new LED 24" display "saves the day" by being matte... at least it will be something for me to look forward to.
