9to5 has generally been pretty good in the past, right? Even uncovering a lot of things?

9 to 5 Mac is probably the most reliable source around. Their source is extremely cryptic though...

very vague.

this is a bit unlike them, isn't it?

... so no, its not unlike them. Its not their fault... its their sources.

I have a feeling this story is going to be an industry changing deal. Stay tuned... this is gonna be big.

It's obviously an Evil Green Death Ray. 'Bout time. Microsoft has had one out for a couple years, but I could never find the right driver for my Power Mac, so it's been sitting in a box in my closet.

Maybe it's a Mac with a projector built in. See how small projectors can get?

Weird image. I like it.

But I already assumed that "brick" would be huge--and heavy too. And do very little.

I actually thought about that projector-built-in idea today. I thought that would be awesome and something everyone could use for many reasons. To show presentations, play movies, view your desktop all on a wall.

...but I have to ask:
 Did scientists unlock the power of green light and give it solely to Apple for use in their computers!?!? ;)

I'm really excited about this. We're all excited about this. This is an exciting time for all of here at Ap- I mean MacRumors.

Hype is awesome.

I had an epiphany. Maybe. ;)

The Apple is glowing because the laser is directed at it. It's emitting a glow. A glow of power.

Eliminating the power brick. Wireless charging via laser. :)

Skippy said so!

Hahaha that's what I said in my post above. It's not a laser per se, but a visual representation of power being sent. Either way pretty cool if that's true.

If so, is it me, or are all of Apple's tricks coming out before their announcements? They don't seem to be able to keep as tight a lid on things as they used to.

I want to find out now!!!!

Wireless power, projection, or whatever crazy thing apple has up its sleeve would be huge! :D I cant wait until this is released/announced! Gimme now:apple::apple:

Maybe its just a simple reference to LED displays in the macbooks and "greener technology"?

God. If this is real and it has a keynote I will pay a million dollars for Steve Jobs to shout out "IMA FIRING MA LAZER!"

maybe....just maybe one of those laser projecter keyboards built into an imac?

It's actually symbolic of a tighter partnership with Microsoft.

Apple truly has gone to the dark side. See?!?

I think their latest idea is to promote hype rather than letting word of mouth do all the work. Give little clues to get the guessing going. "There's something in the air" / "Let's Rock" - both were very good. This one takes the iCake though.

I'll laugh if the article that they write this weekend is a rickroll :p.

If not, this should be really interesting...
