According to the source, Apple retail stores have been given price sheets that list 12 price points for the new range, with prices between $800-$3100. Current lines only have 8 price points, 3 Macbooks starting at $1099, 3 Macbook Pros and 2 Macbook Airs. According to the source, retail outlets usually get the price lists 10 days before products hit the market. Technical specs for the new laptops were not included on the price sheet.

$3100?

Why do you say so? That would be pretty awesome with all those netbooks out there, I want a 12"!

At first glance I thought so - seemed like the spacing between the keyboard/edges was smaller than the current models. Then I compared it to the current ones and declared myself wrong - I think it's 13.3".

wondering if anybody can login to the site to see the images at a higher resolution? i doubt it'd be hard - my korean's just not too great!

i created an account and there are no higher res photos there.

unless i am missing something on the site, thats as high as they come.

and as i mentioned quickly all the way back at post number 42, its chinese not korean

Ok..lets start guessing prices!

12 price points for two products...6 price points each? That seems like a lot. Will we see 15 inch Macbooks? If this is true doesn't look like the MBP will drop much...I wonder if a Blueray drive will the factor in bumping the price up.

If these images are true, the lack of a firewire port disturbs me. Looking to upgrade my Macbook in the near future, but use firewire regularly.
Image of ports from left to right....

Where are these things going to be made?

OK, here's one for you...

Supposedly, the new "Brick" manufacturing process is in the US. (Anybody know where?)

But these new photos are coming out of Asia.

So, where are these laptops going to be made? Is there a "Brick" process in China also? Or will the MacBooks be made in China with a more traditional manufacturing line, and the MBP use the new "Brick" process in the US?

I think this could give us a clue as to what will be upgraded and when.

it does appear so though thats the port line-up which really is unfortunate if there isn't a firewire, love having it now

These images and the ones posted earlier today have some bit of relation: They both seem to have a clear protective 'film' on the top surface. In the earlier photo, the harsh light is a reflection from a plastic film, in these photos published tonight you can clearly see the film being pushed upward by this guy's hand.

my guesses:

$1099, $1299, $1599, $1899 (macbook: base, mid, high, high fully-loaded)
$1799, $2099, $2299, $2599 (air: base, mid, high, high fully-loaded)
$2099, $2399, $2699, $3099 (Pro: base, mid, high, high fully-loaded)

The $3100 model is probably the SSD Macbook Air.

Personally I hope they just get rid of the Macbook/MBP distinction. I would buy a 13" MBP in a heartbeat. I like my 15.4" MBP, but it's just too big and clumsy for me to use on say the train. That 1 inch makes a big difference.

I hope they will also allow greater screen tilt (flip more backwards) than the current generation of MBPs.
