Gold Phone?

If i wanted to put out a gold iPhone, i would start a rumor on a thread like this, to get the feel from the general population first.

I don't know if I would say it's the majority (you do realize online chatter is a tiny percentage of the real world, right?), but there are a bunch, and there are also many who like the size just find and think the whole giant phone fad is silly and want no part of it. Lots of people seem to think everyone wants one because bigger is better and apple should drop the current size and jump it up like samsung and others do. Want an iphone sized quality spec'd android phone? good luck. As long as they come out with an iphone plus along side current one, I'm cool, but if they replace it and go big only, I will be super pissed, and disappointed in apple.

I remember seeing a survey asking people what they wanted in the next iphone over 50% stated they wanted a bigger screen. I am pretty sure this was a live (not internet survey) and of normal customers in a mall or whatever. It might have even been posted on mac rumors not sure but I will post if I find it.

I think they will do a bigger iphone but also keep the 4inch model as well.

A photo taken on iPhone doesn't even fill the screen on a 15" rMBP. They need to up the megapixels.

I'd rather have the aperture number decrease. I don't want to fill up my phone with a bunch of large grainy photos. I rather have smaller better quality ones.

Here are some alleged champagne parts which is maybe where the gold rumor is coming from. If this is real, I do wonder what color will the front of the device and the glass inlays in the back of the product be? Certainly not white.

Interesting, thanks for sharing that. I figured the mustard colored mockup couldn't be what Apple intends if they decide to release a gold color variant, but if so it looks tacky as hell. But we'll see soon enough.

I guess it depends on the types of wedding you visit and what you are used to. We in Europe see American wedding programs on TV with people getting married in places without windows and neon-lighting. In those kinds of situations a 2003 Canon Ixus and a friend with a finger and an eye would probably suffice.

You still owe us a definition of a "real" photographer. Back up your claim.

hmm... keep that friend away from the bride.. (lol)

golden iphone? Now everybody will finally have an option to have the same phone like all those Arab sheiks, Russian tycoons and gypsies:cool:

Gold color as an option? That's new. I thought Apple only offer Black and White.

----------

The rumor about offering Gold color iPhone as an option is a bit too much.

People, chill. It's a pale champagne colour that looks like it could be tastefully done.

That fake gold colour in that mockup looks nothing like this SIM tray that from the Apple factory in Shenzhen that started the rumour.

That's a render, not an iPhone. And it looks nothing like the rumoured champagne colour.

Kind of reminds me of the color of the original iPhone. That was very champagne/gold in color.

Taking this with a grain but if that gold option is true...

I still think anyone's "gold-lust" can be easily satisfied by a cover... no need to change the phone.

They aren't changing the phone, they are releasing it in one extra color. You can still get the silver or the black, but if you want, you can get gold.

I really don't understand why people would be upset with MORE options.

Gold huh... I guess the iPhone6 will have a bedazzle option. Maybe the rendering is just bad, but that looks so tacky.

I like to take my photos 10x farther away than would be necessary, then crop them to hell.

I can't tell if that is supposed to be sarcastic but that is at least a legitimate need for higher megapixels. I'm not sure why anybody would try to take such a picture on the iPhone but I each there own.

So many of you have no faith in Sir Jony. Do you really think he is going to make a kitsch, tacky product for Apple?

After seeing iOS 7, my faith in Sir Jony is waning a bit. That font is too thin and is hard to read on light backgrounds. And they kept touting transparent menus as a big new feature- to which I kept thinking, "Yes, yes, I've seen Aero Glass".

Is it possible that this "champagne" color is really just a bad white balance on a crappy camera?

The supposed 'gold' sim tray this is going by wasnt gold, it just looks it in the light next to the dark black/grey one. Chances are it was just normal silver aluminium colour a la white iPhone.
