Funny how we've only seen leaks of the light colored white/light grey iphone. No space grey or gold yet. I'm sure they'll be there though.

I would probably throw it into something like this right away

All these experienced engineers in these comments might be right.

Actually, they have no idea what it takes to make a thin aluminum unibody device that actually works better than a thicker one.

So all of you need to suck it up. Deal with it. You'll be looking at it for 2 years until they replace it with something "worse".

"rumors have suggested" is the phrase to use. Not expected. It's just an overall better way to say it. You've used in an other article, about time you use it always.

Apple, rumors have suggested, will announce the iPhone 6
That's not so hard to write now it is?

They are expected to announce the iPhone 6 by lots of people. Lots of people here are expecting a new iPhone on the 9th and for Apple to follow naming tradition and call it the iPhone 6.

What a design disaster. This will be Apple's worst looking iPhone to date. I think I'll be hanging on to my beautiful 4S a little bit longer. For this phone to hit the market, two things needed to happen: Jony Ive has gone mad and Tim Cook has gone blind.

So many people complain about those ugly bands. But Apple is caught between a rock and a hard place. The wireless signals have to get out of the phone somehow, and the antennae have to be in a very specific location. Apple has tried a little plastic window (original iPhone), and that wasn't aesthetically perfect; all plastic with the 3G and 5C (which IMO were the best designs); all glass, which broke too easily; then aluminum and glass with the 5. Now the phone is all aluminum with bands for the antennae.

We buy Apple's evolutions. The company is constantly experimenting, trying to find the best balance between necessary tech and aesthetics. I imagine by iPhone 10 the design will please most people.

I don't care about the way it looks. I will be buying a protective case for it anyway like i have with my other phones. So who cares what it looks like.

So the antenna bands are real? Damn it. It is disgustingly ugly. It's extremely disappointing to see that Apple couldn't figure out a better design for the antenna. It is not pleasing aesthetically at all.

They had 2 years to figure out where to put the antenna bands and this is the best they could do? Seriously disappointed.

The other features sound great and I'm sure it'll be a great phone, but the back is ugly.

There better be some special purpose to these bands because they're uncharacteristically ugly.

All of this was on one page. Not bothering to see what else you've left here.

You can stop now. We get it.

Still buying, regardless of how many times XVentura posts the same nonsense.

the bands dont bother me at all, im all for a better antenna design that is more power efficient and more efficient and stronger then the last design, better wifi performance, 3g performance, LTE performance... bring it on!!!

if there is indeed two types of 4.7 inch models like Gorilla glass or sapphire, i will absolutely pay extra for the sapphire because itll be beyond worth it... COME ON SEPTEMBER 9TH ! :apple: IM SO DAM IMPATIENT LOL

Apple was smart to leak these case designs. The shock of the design is starting to wear off. The masses are beginning to accept. By the time Jonny's video testimony wraps, ship dates will have already started slipping.

So ready to move on from my 4s...

no more chamfered edges on the 6, people wont be complaning about chamfered edges being so dinged up easily anymore

Says the person carrying around a mostly glass phone.

I don't think you fully understand what "design disaster" means.

Obviously a matter of taste. I kind of like them.

REALLY want to see the 5.5 version though!!
I agree that it's a matter of taste. I like the curves, I like how thin it is, I like the size of the screen and the phone but the bands are ugly as sin.

I'm also looking forward to seeing the 5.5" version.

Maybe when I see it in front of me in person I'll like it. However, from these leaked photos it doesn't look too good to me. Also, a single speaker seems to be a step down from the two speakers on the iPhone 5S -- but I like the bigger screen.

all iPhones have had only 1 speaker in them, the 5s/5/4s/4/3gs/3g/1 have never had dual speakers, Apple's only improved the speaker quality in every new iPhone they have released, iPhone 6 wont be a exception, theyre saying the i6 speaker is suppose to be a nice big boost over the 5s speaker

It's odd how a ton of people complain that Apple went for design (thinness) over function (battery life) but when they seem to go for function (signal strength) over design (coloured bands) a ton of people say it's looks ugly!

I think you should post your own designs so that we can compare them to Apple's. In fact everyone here who acts like a design expert should do the same thing.

Could not agree more, these "leaks" are great for Apple.
By the time they present it everybody has already grudgingly accepted it. If the design would not leak beforehand it would definitely hurt Apple's early sales phase.

Were the plastic bands on the back of the HTC One a big issue with people? They kept the plastic either white or black and didn't try to blend it in. Never really thought twice about it when I saw that phone released and my friend has one.

The only thing that disgusted me about the HTC One were fake bands, painted on. I checked out the unique blue body one at Best Buy and the black bands were painted on and already scratching off. Thinking back about it, maybe the non-working display model had it painted. Though, it looked like the real thing and any real customer for it would probably dismiss it because of that.

I will admit, for the bands on the HTC, it also felt like a design choice, as they had an additional line come down from the center and then circle around the camera, also centered, so it was all tied together better, giving it a nice look.
