"rumors have suggested" is the phrase to use. Not expected. It's just an overall better way to say it. You've used in an other article, about time you use it always.
Apple, rumors have suggested, will announce the iPhone 6
That's not so hard to write now it is?
Close but I'm guessing Jony would never use the word "plastic" to describe anything Apple makes - whether it's plastic or not.
So the antenna bands are real? Damn it. It is disgustingly ugly. It's extremely disappointing to see that Apple couldn't figure out a better design for the antenna. It is not pleasing aesthetically at all.
They had 2 years to figure out where to put the antenna bands and this is the best they could do? Seriously disappointed.
The other features sound great and I'm sure it'll be a great phone, but the back is ugly.
There better be some special purpose to these bands because they're uncharacteristically ugly.
who cares what it looks like

So many people complain about those ugly bands. But Apple is caught between a rock and a hard place. The wireless signals have to get out of the phone somehow, and the antennae have to be in a very specific location. Apple has tried a little plastic window (original iPhone), and that wasn't aesthetically perfect; all plastic with the 3G and 5C (which IMO were the best designs); all glass, which broke too easily; then aluminum and glass with the 5. Now the phone is all aluminum with bands for the antennae.
We buy Apple's evolutions. The company is constantly experimenting, trying to find the best balance between necessary tech and aesthetics. I imagine by iPhone 10 the design will please most people.
There is no question that the 5/5s was a better-executed aesthetic design.
Any subjective comment on the aesthetics of this carries an implicit assumption that it is the opinion of the poster, and not verifiable fact.Should really put a big fat IMO in front of that.
Looks great to me.
What a design disaster. This will be Apple's worst looking iPhone to date. I think I'll be hanging on to my beautiful 4S a little bit longer. For this phone to hit the market, two things needed to happen: Jony Ive has gone mad and Tim Cook has gone blind.
I agree that it's a matter of taste. I like the curves, I like how thin it is, I like the size of the screen and the phone but the bands are ugly as sin.Obviously a matter of taste. I kind of like them.
REALLY want to see the 5.5 version though!!
Maybe when I see it in front of me in person I'll like it. However, from these leaked photos it doesn't look too good to me. Also, a single speaker seems to be a step down from the two speakers on the iPhone 5S -- but I like the bigger screen.
They had 2 years to figure out where to put the antenna bands and this is the best they could do? Seriously disappointed.
Apple was smart to leak these case designs. The shock of the design is starting to wear off. The masses are beginning to accept.
