Looks like he was dialing a number and then he got a notification of something else happening... "Ignore" and "View" I think are pretty visible as the two buttons.

As an everyday device for your pockets and what not, it is going to be probably too tall and wide. Thickness is excellent, but being taller than a brick it may be a bit cumbersome.

It looks to me the guy is flying from SFO to Heathrow airport. I reconize the furniture there there being the British Aiways Business Lounge.

Maybe he's flying there to do some deals in Europe.

Maybe that explains the UK electrical plugs between the seats? Either that or they're already testing in the UK or Ireland?
