I think Twister might be more appropriate, given our on-going mental states brought on by the infernal wait. Hope springs eternal, though my 800mHz G4 Powerbook is not(eternal, that is).:eek:

Tonight has to be it or I am going to be stupified by their every Tuesday release tactics being mostly small ticket items. Either that or I will be stupid tired at work in the morning.

Really hope you guys get your MBP's tuesday. I have seen your pain grow over the past months. my fingers are crossed
 
of course i crack and buy a refurb mbp, and they end up updating them the following tuesday, i think i may end up facing the restocking fee.

If they are indeed updating the MacBooks, it will be interesting to see if they finally get rid of that combo drive............ I guess not.
 
Seems pretty likely at this point that the MBP isn't going to be updated tomorrow. I'll be first in line to buy if it is, but I certainly see more evidence against than for.

What evidence against it? With all these places running out of MBPs, there going to have to come out soon or Apple's stock is going to drown even more! :eek:

Apple store still up at 11:55 pm EST. As for me, I am waiting for the mac tablet which may be released on Jan 2009 at this pace.

Tuesday has become the friday of everyweek for me. so excited for something. BUT MBP BETTER COME TOMM, or im writing a letter. & keep the keyboard the sammee please!

I think there's an offbrand Mactablet currently offered, if you want one before 2009. :D I saw it in Macworld (magazine).

Based on the lack of fanfare (no big announcement) I suspect this update with be a simple refresh. I've heard from several sites, here, insider, Personafile (http://www.personafile.com/products) that these MacBook's will include the Penyrn processor. Does anyone know if this is a big deal? I've heard this processor isn't much faster but save battery.

hopefully we will see a new mbp in the morning. if NOT, im ordering something else.. possibly just a MB.

better battery life with penryn.. marginally.
bigger hard drive
upgraded video card
multi touch trackpad.

my predictions.
 
If I buy this new MBP, when should I expect the next one to come out and what will be in it? Should I wait again (as if I haven't waited long enough)?

I agree and i think magnetic latch. macbooks have had for a long time and air just got it, so I can't see the pro not having it.

It will be updated to the Montevina platform with the Penryn processor this summer most likely. Mostly support for 1066 cache I think. Average users probably won't notice much of a difference.
