I think the MBP needs updated more than the Macbook. Right now, the macbook specs are almost those of the pro's.

I think the MBP needs updated more than the Macbook. Right now, the macbook specs are almost those of the pro's.
That's why I'm suggesting mainly cosmetic changes. Although the Pro was updated recently as well, speed bumps and increased HD available ...jsut like the regular MacBooks.
So this has me wondering--- if they drop the price on the iPod Touch 8gig-- how long do you think the store's stock would last?
I know that decreasing stocks is an indicator, but we havn't heard much save for new products coming into stores.
It also makes me wonder-- would it result in more refurbished models showing up?

That wasn't a "real" update in my opinion. The prices are still the same for as is models. We should be able to get more bang for the buck now.
WELL GOOD NIGHT ALL! just think, if we all went to bed when we should have... (for those of us in CST, probably an hour ago) we would have already seen the mbp conciously, because sleep is just another way of saying time travel into the future! so i will sleep now, shutting my concious thoughts down, so that the next concious thing i will see, is the mbp in about 2 seconds (conciously)

XD... ADIOSWhen I get a new MBP, I want to get Vista so i can buy Halo 2. Does anyone know how to get a free copy? $200 is a little steep for something I'm mainly going to use for Halo 2 and other games I could probably just use XP for.

I was at Micro Center this afternoon and ask one of the guys behind the counter and told me that they do have some new apple products to be display tomorrow.......the prices ranges from $999.99 to $1499.99 and he also mentioned that one of the product has blue ray.......I'm thinking updates on IMAC with blue ray drive...no MBP.....

If a third-party reseller like MicroCenter got stock early, the entire internet would know by know and have photographic proof.
No third-party has stock. If any one was to get stock, it would be the Apple Best Buy shops... and all we have are blurry computer inventory reads.

Well, MB or MBP pretty sure that's the kinda update we're getting. I'm just hoping for something a little more than just guts, like aluminum casing for a MacBook. Probably not happening but I can dream!

I just hope if the MB comes out, then so does the MBP. As long as the Pro comes out...
I'm a little confused... What does the ipod touch have to do with MBPs?

Right. But all you are getting is a slightly faster processor, more HD options, multi-touch touchpad and an 17inch LED right?
I guess that sounds like a lot, but can't help but think it is time for a new case.
