Here we are talking about Macbooks and Macbook Pro's comin tomorrow , the ultimate scenario would be that there is no such update at all. Then we can start cursing and give life to new rumors.
On an optimistic note: i really hope that MBP comes out tomorrow and i dont care if MB comes out or not. Thats my view nyways.

I got a MBP last Wednesday as a Get Well Soon gift. With 2.4GHz, 4GB of RAM and the matte screen... I really can't think what on a new MBP I would want.
Ok, the ala Air touch pad would be kinda cool... Blu-Ray, sure. Thinner... well its not as if the computer is the 13 pounder Viao I had a few years ago... A bump up to 2.6 or 2.8GHz, yawn...
Now if the screen went ala iPhone, I'd be calling the person who gave it to me and tell them I'd pay the restocking fee to go exchange it! But I seriously doubt we're gonna see anything like that anytime soon!
So, never look a gift horse in the mouth, or a free MBP from a loving friend either!
Now if that blasted Time Capsule would just be on the store shelf tomorrow!!!

The online shop of the (imo) biggest Apple retailer in Germany (Gravis.de) is out of MB and very low in MBP.
I don't like the air touchpad or multitouch screen, if the speed mattered to me I could have bought the faster mb but the 2.0 is plenty fast enough for me, so whatever apple does I'll still be happy with what I bought.
Well it's UK time 9.34am... and nothings happened here. And surely by now it must be Tuesday in Cupertino time... when do the sites here in UK/USA get updated??
In the past few week the UK store has gone down around late morning (GMT), so a little while longer to see how many happy or dissappointed Apple fans there are going to be.
Personally, today is D-day for me. New MBP's today or I'm gonna have to go for one of the current models. I've waited, and stretched out the time I can wait and now I'm at the point I need a new machine.

well, a Dutch distributor has almost 300 MBP in stock right now... so stock level is not reliable info IMOH.

Steady on, dude! It's only 1.45am in Cupertino! I'm as desperate as you, but a few more hours won't hurt! Give it about 3 more hours! If it does close, it probably won't be open again till around 2pm-ish our time.
I wish I could be like that - I'm using my iPhone as a computer since my PowerBook died six weeks ago but I just can't buy a new MBP. Not when all the signs are pointing to an update. I'll just keep waiting - til June if necessary...

Fraid they weren't down quite this early last week. Not quite. If memory serves, they went down at around about 12pm UK time. Patience, my children....
