No, it looks bad. That's part of the reason no-one else does it, or in the case of HTC does it better.

It looks bad for you.. who doesn't seem to have a good taste in design judging from the phone you picked. You seem to prefer different to good or think different automatically = good. Or you're just too obsessed with this band from leaks (which it looked awful) and didn't bother to look at it from most recent leak.

oooh wow

he's holding up two fake fones :D i'm so excited for what is to come..

I LOVE you all!

A wireless phone needs some sort of radio transparent window for its antennas to work. On the iPhone 5/5S, this was accomplished with two small glass panels on the back. On the iPhone 6, it looks like they managed to reduce these windows to mere slits. I think it will look much better on the black/space grey model.

Yup, that's why I suggested those breaks could be that thick because the antennas are actually molded into them, it would be a good solution and still shield them.

I agree the black will probably look the best and I expect, unless there's some huge surprises at the keynote that I'll be ordering an iPhone 6 in that colour... :)

I find myself obsessed with this release,
it's exactly the same feeling as when I was a kid and waited for christmas eve to come. I've missed that feeling in adult life, but I still have it in before these announcements :D

Even if it got bad reviews, I'm going to watch the Jobs movie before the event (tuesday evening here in Sweden) and then load up with snacks and sweets and stuff and watch the live stream like it's the most anticipated movie of the year. :p :apple:

Couple of things
1. The headphone socket in comparison to the iPhone 5s looks like 2.5mm instead of 3.5mm and I can't believe they go to that size

2. When he opens calculator (6.50) that's a different app to the current. In this version the number appear on the keys half a second after the app is open. Which isn't the case on the current app

1. It is possible, but I don't think it is likely. Comparing the two, and my iPhone 5, there doesn't seem to be a "thick bezel" or collar around the jack on the supposed 6, and that's probably why it looks bigger on the 5s. Consider also that the phone is thinner. Sent from my iPhone.

Not like the "gorgeous" iPhone 6... Ahem.

Apple are rapidly falling behind in the design stakes.

This is made by sharp? how is the quality build? Because even though it looks nice, I don't trust the quality of sharp products.

EDIT: blah plastic back and screen is not full HD. Mid specs... shame

Ha.. not quite.. I've run 50 K's through mountains and elevation. Be an adult and take care of what you own. Screen protectors cause more harm than good.

Also, Armani sucks.

I’e gotta call you on the highlighted part. It definitely needs explaining, looks like BS?

This is true, but then Ford cars don't all still look like the Model T do they? Iconic looks should be kept and integrated into current design language right up until the point they hold progression back... The new, larger form factor phones are reaching that point - the iPhones are getting too tall and awkward looking and it would be good to see something more progressive and innovative again, it's been a long time since the original iPhone (at least in electronics timescales) and "thinness" doesn't solve the problem of large phone with relatively small screen, especially since it's forced the camera to stick out of the back...

Apple is not Ford. Probably Mercedes or BMW. Apple has class..

The whole time I was hoping he was about to open the Passbook app and see if it asked for credit/debit card info.

Then at the end of the video, he goes through every app and just skips right past Passbook

Sadly, I don't think this is fake. It's the real deal. The entire phone operates FAR too close to a real iPhone to be fake. People can try to nitpick the video to find faults, but overall I'd think it would be impossible to get a functional iOS 8 to run so smoothly on a fake product right now.

I think the general consensus is that those breaks look bad, even on the latest leak, not just the thickness or material but they seem cramped around the camera, they just look bad.

I designed these for my company, they're not perfect but I also had many constraints to work around and a minuscule budget compared to Apple -

yea right

super fake, dude avoids the passbook icon like the plague, functioing NFC would have easily authenticated this video, yet they failed to do it

Yup, it's not a great phone but I think there is some smart design there (the bottom bezel detailing is a bit poor though), I even like the rubberised back, no breaks, easy to grip, resistant to marking up in a bad way...

Some comments are annoying and really dumb comments.

Like yours. People are people and they like what they like. They are fickle.

There are multiple reasons why looks should not be one of the main considerations when buying items but they are, plain and simple.

ehh welcome to the 90s?

Yes its sad. I buy things out of functionality and not out of vanity. I can see purchasing things that are beautiful but not a phone . My Priority are a lot of different from others I guess?

Since when has the iPhone been full hd?

Your wrong wiesenlooser

Lol, no.
There is no serial #, it's just the model #.

Talk about nuts...

ACTUALLY on the back of the Iphone (and one presumes the Iphone 6) there is the IMEI number. This can be used to track the Iphone through it's entire history so that Apple will know who made what part of it etc.
This way they can investigate who probably took it and thus put them in very hot water.

Walkers crisps are able to do the same thing. They are able to find out who packed a particular bag of crisps. So that way if a mistake is made the operator who packed that bag can not deny it.

Plus when the guy opened apps like the weather app or the stocks app nothing loaded. probably because it was not connected to the internet.
So Apple could not track it down.
Seems real to me, though only way to know is on Tuesday

The phone does look sketchy, but the screenshot could it be the parallex feature?

No , that moves the background wallpaper not the icons and text

I really hope it's not true though, the bezel is still too thick.

..

If you're a product designer and you take a consensus of general people as a decision of what is good or bad design then sorry, you're not a very good designer (and you'll never be an artist, that's for sure). Especially a consensus from people here who judged it from leaks which most likely lack a fine touch of finished product.
Also, an Aquos phone you took as an example already show your shortcoming as a designer if you can't see its weakness.
