More Photos and Videos of Claimed Working iPhone 6 Devices Surface

Erm your wrong

Steve Hemmerstoffer writes on his twitter: "Just one more clue… These finishes are not worthy of an #Apple product… "

Search your feelings.. It's fake, guys. End of discussion. :D

ACTUALLY it could just as easily be real. If this is real then the slightly questionable quality could be down to the fact that it is a prototype used for field testing and thus explains why someone was able to get hold of it perhaps??

There are just as many arguments for as there are against. There are definitely some "can't be faked" parts, but there are some that just don't make any sense either. I do think it's real, but I'm thinking maybe an early prototype or production.

Regardless, we'll see in 2 days and 51 minutes.

Wrong. Look at the photos out there. There is no chrome on the side. Why would Apple put a small portion of chrome in that ONE spot? Get your eyes checked. It's certainly an LED flashing.

It's the light from the led screen shining through those badly installed buttons. As mentioned before the build quality on them is laughable and as such there are gaps

I'm sure this is a real iPhone. I'm not so sure if it's the end-product that goes to the customer.

This could be a camouflaged field testing device.

I highly doubt that someone could manage to get an iPhone out of a factory. Those workers are strictly monitored.

Somewhere right now Tim and Jony are cursing up a storm over these leaks
Not necessarily. All this attention on the next iPhone, which is fairly predictable based on the yearly cycle, keeps the attention away from the real new products. Not that they purposely leak this, but they can absolutely use this distraction in their favor. What was found out of the white construction?! It exists, but no one knows its purpose. If there is an iwatch/iband, what does it look like? If there is a payment solution, how did they tackle the needed integration (authorization and settlement) with merchants? Most everyone is focused on the iPhone leaks.

If you're a product designer and you take a consensus of general people as a decision of what is good or bad design then sorry, you're not a very good designer (and you'll never be an artist, that's for sure). Especially a consensus from here, and from leaks which most likely lack a fine touch of finishing product.
Also, an Aquos phone you took as an example already show your shortcoming as a designer already if you can't see its weakness.

Haha, I can see the weaknesses of the Sharp design, it was merely an example but are you really hinting that the 6 is a work of art? The iPhone 4 was an industrial work of art, even little details like the use of golden ratios, the way the camera radius followed the corner radius of the casework in parallel. I appreciate good design but I don't suck up anything Apple makes as great if it's not.

You'd also be surprised how often people who don't care about something have a far better opinion than those with an obsessive interest in it, a general consensus isn't always a bad way to go for opinion because it removes the extreme outlying opinions. The 6 is neither disgustingly ugly or a work of art, it's "ok" but could definitely be better, Apple can do better and have done in the past.

Anything I design I do so by myself but when it's done I like to get other's opinions because I'm not an egomaniac and can take criticism. If anyone dares criticize Apple a certain group seem to lose all rational behavior and run for the pitchforks...

Am I the only one wondering how static-cling screen protectors are going to stay on a curved glass display?

That will be a riddle for the creators to try to solve. Because Apple certainly doesn't care about the issue.

----------

If it's the sapphire compound we've been seeing you won't need a screen protector.

You don't really need one now. Those protectors aren't going to truly stop the screen from getting cracked if the phone falls, the best they prevent are light scratches but those aren't hard to prevent on your own if you pay attention

You are judging by a leaked video which is not confirmed to show the final product? Think about it...

The new iPhone will definitely be a very polished device..Remember the comments when the iPhone 4 leaked? Everybody said that it looked awful. Now everybody is saying that the iPhone 4 had the best design ever..

Who said it's a work of art? I only said the band could be "a slick design feature" which you, as a designer, failed to see.

The iPhone 4 was an industrial work of art,

Yet when it leaked people here screamed murder and thought Apple would never design something as **** as this. So didn't your words here contradict with your "consensus" from previous post? I'm beginning to feel sympathy for your employer already. :)

My 4S still works fine. 10 million new phones in a week is wasteful. Phone use rare in replaceable natural elements. I don't want to consume just for the sake of it.

That's part of why things like Apple's trade in are so important. They can recover the REM from dead and dying phones and reuse it.

We'll see, the iPhone 5 leaks at this stage were exactly what we got (and I criticized them too saying Apple would never do this and that...), I did however always like the iPhone 4 design. :)

If he wants to prove it's the real deal and not the GooPhone, he just have to open the camera and tap the icon on the bottom right. The GooPhone then goes to camera settings and the iPhone to filters.

If this is a GooPhone, then I must say the GooPhone looks dam fast and responsive and a very high performing bit of kit.

If you are suggesting this is Android with a iOS skin it's even more impressive it's this fast.

Anybody questioning the legitimacy of this phone is nuts. Are their still people in here naive enough to think this could be an elaborate fake and apple still has some fresh design hiding?

If anyone believes that, they're delusional. This happens every year.

It's real, people.

Ok, explain what is slick about those bands? They look cheap to me, what's good about them?

The thing they remind me of in the first instance is -

?

I wasn't on here, or rather didn't pay much attention when the iPhone 4 leaks were around but then I spent a lot of time working over in Russia and China around that time.

We gotta give credit to Sony for making their new new line of white devices without the annoying black border around the screen.

Damn.... this iPhone 6 design is not pushing a single feature for itself.

What should have had been...

Home button is too small. The ergonomics would suck.
