Not excited about the camera. I use my phone flat on the table or desk, without a case, all the time.

Bezels are ugly, but not a deal breaker.

If it's a fake, they did a great job. However at this point I might actually like to see a 5.5 phone. This 4.7 just looks weird to me.

Really bummed about the camera sticking out though. That's my complaint.

Lokking forward to curved edges though. Holding the 5 without a case gets extremely uncomfortable.

Still excited for Tuesday!

Agreed. Screen protectors were once necessary but they haven't been since at least the iPhone 5. Mine has yet to scratch and I don't even use a case.

Last screen protector I used was on a smartphone with a stylus, Sony Ericsson p series I think. Since the original iPhone and using a finger I don't personally think it's necessary.

If you want to protect it in a pocket against keys or coins surely you'd want the whole phone in a case otherwise you'd have a nice screen but a scratched outer case

Anybody questioning the legitimacy of this phone is nuts. Are their still people in here naive enough to think this could be an elaborate fake and apple still has some fresh design hiding?

If anyone believes that, they're delusional. This happens every year.

It's real, people.

Nobody is suggesting that. The only thing that's being debated is where or not this is the finished product that will be unveiled on Tuesday, and nothing about this phone appears that way to me. This could very well be an early prototype or production model running iOS 8, nothing more. It doesn't appear to have the usual level of polish that Apple devices typically have.

No one is saying this is not what the real iPhone 6 will look like. What some people (including me) are arguing is whether the phone in those pictures and videos is an actual, real Iphone 6.

The real deal will look very, very similar to this fake ;)

Arguing? I saw only speaking without fact checking.

Further to my points about Apple slipping lately, here's what I mean -

The iPhone 4 camera, perfectly following the outer case lines while the small flash next to it is aligned centrally to the power button above. Very neat, very slick. Great design touches that most people won't even notice or care about - very Apple.

The alleged iPhone 6 camera, well it's just sorta thrown in there, cramped in by the thick antenna break, following no overall form or flow of the design and will even protrude from the casework - very Samsung.

I'm not hating on Apple, I think they're a great company with a great design history, I do however think they're slacking lately and the competition is getting ever better.

They look cheap to me,

And I'm not surprised. Ha. Ha.

what's good about them?

You need me to educate you.. a working designer? :)

OK be my guest.
I'm sure there'll be function for it but I will talk about design only. Look at the back. Apart from Apple logo, what graphic do you see? A simple line on top and bottom. It's simple. It's there. Yet it's not obvious (look at this leak). And if I have to bet I'll bet it will not look cheap when you see it for real. So instinctively simple line like this will get into people's subconscious. But you won't know about it because if you're ever a designer like you boasted, you're a loud one. You're not a profound type.

could you outline whats fake bout this video? so far everything has been debunked through various videos and pictures.

i feel this is legit.

I haven't seen the new iOS 8 but this iPhone performs just like my iP5. Not claiming anything but shouldn't iP6 with iOS 8 have new features? Facetime, weather, calendar everything looks the same. For example I'm positive new lens used in the camera has many new features, I don't see he demonstrated any of these either.

IMHO, these folks made an iphone-look-alike phone and installed the current iOS in it. But I can be totally wrong, too.

You seem to be speaking from the Jony Ive book of talking bollocks I'm afraid. Even HTC did a better job of Antenna breaks, the lines might look good and break up the plain rear if they were thinner but they're too thick, clumsy looking. Subconscious? Please. Pretentious more like. But then you're a graduate, an opinionated and pompous one. I'd love to see some of your great designs. I wasn't boasting, merely stating what I do AFTER you'd brought up your design degree.

The iPhone 6 may well look better in production, the lines may serve another purpose (I've already stated the antennas could actually be molded into them which would be a really good use and actually make the reception far better than being inside the casework) but we're pretty close to launch and all we saw of the iPhone 5 leaks at this stage was bang on what we got.

That's impossible, you can't just port iOS to random hardware

If this hideous, bezel headed monster is the real Iphone 6, is it possible to withdraw a Knighthood?

i am starting to question the value of the added screen to be honest. dont get me wrong, I like bigger screens but judging from those "leaks" alone iOS still doesnt really take any advantage of the screen besides having more things to read at the same time. I am not a fan of Samsung like AT ALL but at least their Note etc. have special features like the pen input for taking notes easily

I think we'll see the OS evolve to make better use of the screen, like what we see on iPad apps currently with split screens and such. Apple laid the foundation for adaptive design in iOS8.

Yes its sad. I buy things out of functionality and not out of vanity. I can see purchasing things that are beautiful but not a phone . My Priority are a lot of different from others I guess?

I also buy things for functional reasons however I also - especially when they are in excess of $500 - want it to be aesthetically pleasing.

Don't mistake someone for bring vain just because they buy a functional product that suits them that is also good looking

Even though I DO believe this is real, I just don't understand why these guys would incriminate themselves by loosely showing their faces? =/

Arguing? I saw only speaking without fact checking.

Why does this so called iOS 8 use old icon design (from iOS 7 beta 3!!) for mail, app store, safari (gradients in those icons in iOS 8 are much more subtle). Why does music icon have reversed gradient. How come the build number of this so called iOS 8 is smaller than iOS 8 beta 5??
Why does the touch ID look like its made of plastic? etc. etc.

There you go... some arguments

Every year , every near iteration of iPhone people hate on the design. Once the phone actually comes out all the fanboys start drooling.

Icon design is old (iOS 7 beta 3), music app icon is wrong, clock icon is different, touch ID look like its made of plastic, build quality of the device is not on par with Apple's products etc.
