I usually get the Max versions but decided to get the smaller Pro this year since camera modules are the same. A tad unhappy with the battery life compared to my 12PM but i’m not sure if it’s because it’s still new and indexing files? No idea. With my $100 in savings though, I ended up picking up the Magsafe battery pack from Apple as backup if I know i’m out all day or something.

Is it worth having the 13 pro max if you don’t have an iPad or is everyone that got the 13 pro fine with the size for videos etc.

Yes, the Mini was so much more comfortable to carry when I was hiking etc.
But I often had trouble with my eyes when I was looking on the Mini screen for too long as I was used to the bigger screen since the 6 Plus.
Maybe I will be really crazy this year and go with Pro and Pro Max.
(… so I avoid the decision :) )
haha no, your not crazy I had the same issues just going from the Max to the Pro, so could only imagine the Mini!

The Max is too big. Now that the cameras are on par for both, there is no point in having that huge phone now.
yeah, I can kinda see what you are saying, but gong from the 13PM to the pro, certainly seems like a downgrade to me... the screen, the battery for sure!

I got the standard 13 Pro even though I really liked the Plus size back in the 6s days. Battery on the bigger phones was always fantastic, but I‘ve found the 13 Pro to be perfectly adequate. And it already feels sort of big coming from the X, so I can‘t imagine carrying a bigger phone around.

The lack of software bonus features also always disappointed me on the Max phones. The extra screen size isn‘t really utilized all that well.

I also had a 12 pro Max and a 12 mini…mini was small/cute and a backup. But I ended up using the 12 mini 95% of the time and this year with the 13 pro great battery life improvements, I traded both in for a 13 pro and love the size and features. I miss the size of the 12 mini a bit, esp when active, but definitely do not miss the large brick feeling of the pro max.

I almost got a 13 Pro this morning— they had one in stock at my local Apple store (I’m on the upgrade program), but the Apple store employee talked me out of it. My attitude was that I just needed a Pro with 512gb or more storage— but she said if I was using a 12 Pro Max, I would definitely miss the battery life and should hold out for a Max. So, I guess I still have some time to think about it… heh. The magic phone would be an iPhone 13 Pro Mini with a bit more battery— I was tempted to try the mini this year but they always sell me with the pro line’s cameras.

that's a tough one! that max screen tho is so nice!

Once you go Max, you can never go back. For anyone that has an issue with the weight of the iPhone 13 Pro Max, give it a try for eight to ten days. If you still can't get over it, then that's fine. It's all personal preference. Think about all the things that weigh as much. You are probably wearing shoes that weigh that much or more. You have probably had a burger that weighs more than the iPhone 13 Pro Max.

Haha good points🤣

Glad I’m not the only indecisive one. I have a 13 pro but really experiencing some FOMO on the PM. Battery life is meh for me but I find the extra screen real estate appealing.

Was originally going to get the 13 pro max but ultimately decided on the 13 Pro and i'm glad I did. With the boxy design, the pro is the perfect size for me to hold and use whereas the Pro Max would've been too big and heavy for me to hold, use, and handle.

I originally had the 13pro since launch day. I was curious about getting a max and one became available for purchase at my local apple store so I jumped on purchasing one! Played around with both and finally decided on keeping the max. The larger screen size and better battery life was just too good to pass up.

I also just bought the iPad mini 6 and i use both the iPad and the 13pro max equally for different purposes. At first I thought - why have the mini and the pro max but I’m used to always having an iPad at home.

wow you did almost exactly what I did! except I didn't keep the mini (went with 11 pro) due to brighter screen.

Nah… I went Max and I went back. I tried the iPhone 11 Pro Max for a few days but hated the awkwardness of the large size when trying to use one-handed. I returned it and got the regular Pro. Much more comfortable.

Never again!

13 Pro, downsized from the 11 Pro Max. I’ve had the plus size phones since they came in, except
for the X. The X is my favourite iPhone ever - even better than the 4S which I loved. I liked the bigger screen, but I have nerve issues happening that made using the 11PM very painful. At times I couldn’t even text unless I laid it on a table. The regular pro with the flat sides is easier to hold and easier to pick up for me. And I have a MagSafe pop socket on it to help for when my hands feel like they’re on fire.

Went from XS Max to 13 Pro Max, couldn't go down to the 13 Pro, would be too small for me lol, so I went with the new PM, was never a doubt, it's chunky for sure, but it feels premium, more than my XS Max does, and that felt premium when I was using it.

I briefly considered the Pro, but I was already used to a larger form factor with the 7 Plus, and the screen size of the Max is very handy for following along the lectures’ PowerPoint slides on days I don’t bring my laptop to school.

Went from 11 Pro Max to 13 Pro. Also went from 8 Plus to X. Large phones are ok. I liked my 11 PM but at times it was big. Never fit in pockets or cup holders. Loved the battery and screen size but I’m really digging the smaller 13 Pro.
