My 13 Pro Max is in an Otterbox Defender Pro for and I have absolutely no problem pocketing it in my left front pocket. Coming from the 12 Pro Max, I did notice that the 13 Pro Max felt more dense than heavier. After 10 days, I don't even notice any longer.

Just like this poll my friends and family are pretty much split 50/50 on the regular and Max size. Get the one that works for you and your lifestyle, I can never convince my brother to get the Max and he will never be able to convince me to the regular size 🤷‍♂️

I currently have both and am debating which to keep. The 13 pro max screen is amazing but it feels slightly awkward when handling it one handed. Pro is maybe a little smaller than I would like but it’s a dream one handed device if you have big hands. What I mean by that is it has more than enough room to be maneuvered one handed without feeling awkward.

there’s no right or wrong answer but ergonomically pro wins by a landslide which is important for a pocketable device that benefits from one handed use.

That would be totally off: I had a 13 Pro for a week before returning it for a Max. My previous one was an 11 Pro. The smaller 13 Pro was on par or only marginally better than the 11 Pro in that regard. The 11 Pro Max would totally outlast the 13 Pro.

Huh? I upgraded from 11 Pro to 13 Pro and the battery life is much better. I was charging my 11 Pro twice a day!

The 11 Pro is 2 years old at this point. Unless you’ve changed the battery in the 11 Pro, this comparison wouldn’t be completely valid. I was talking about my personal experience with the smaller 13 Pro that I had for a week: the battery didn’t seem that much better than what I had with my 11 Pro. The 11 Pro most likely even lasted about the same 2 years ago.

Yep the timing is perfect for a person to jump from a 11 Pro to a 13 Pro, as by now those who got 11 Pro their batteries have degraded enough that when they get the 13 Pro it’s battery feels much better.

When people leave the 13 Pro for 15 Pro they will be saying the same things, lol, by that point they will be charging their 13 Pro twice a day.

I chose Pro Max because my old phone was iPhone 7 plus. Size was almost the same and I got used to it. Jump from 7 plus to 13 Pro Max was quite big and I have been very happy with my new blue phone.

I went with the 13 Pro Max.

I've had Plus/Max sized iPhones since the iPhone 6. I go with Plus/Max as I prefer the larger screen, and also the better battery life, as Plus/Max sized iPhones tend to have better battery life than the none Plus/Max sized iPhones.

I also prefer the larger size for watching/recording video on and taking photos on. And also I prefer the larger keyboard keys that the Plus/Max sized iPhones have on.

I don't understand how people could be happy with the size of a Max unless they use a purse.

I use a purse and a tote and still downsized. Even before it actually became a physical issue for me, I wished I’d gotten smaller phone. Women’s pants pocket are tiny.

Very happy with my 13 Pro Max. It's about the same size as my old 11 (Regular) but the battery and screen are so much better

Went from 11PM to 13PM and I’m 6’1 with big hands and just ordered a 13Pro because using this phone one handed is a chore. I will miss the battery life for sure but with my IPP home the 13Pro makes the most sense for my lifestyle always on the go at work and after hours.
No answer is better than the other they’re both great phones

Right— I asked because it appeared there was no case. I haven’t been able to get myself to do that yet— even though I’ve had AppleCare+ on the last several. Phone sure does feel nice without a case!
I was caseless prior to applecare plus (what can I say, I’m reckless) but I also resisted apple care plus theft and loss even tho I’ve had my phone stolen.

ironically the last time that happened it was because I used a case (glitter and floating water got me) and it was so big the pocket wouldn’t close all the way down and someone pick pocketed me while I was in a rush.

since then I’ve always gotten iPhone theft plus.

and never brought a case again no matter how cool it looks.

Try joggers! I got mine at amour vert, and it is roomy but still slimming. Also never had a problem with lululemon’s joggers or the track hoodies (slim/body hugging ones, they are surprisingly roomy the pockets, and I find it doesn’t poke out much, it’s like it goes into this deep hole only to be fished out when you reach deep).

I’m not tall either unfortunately.

I totally get the choice between the two 13 Pro models is about personal preference, ease of use and maximum performance. Coming from Blackberry and then Samsung to the iPhone 12 Pro Max last year, size hasn't been an issue since I am used to typing and using my smartphones two handed.

While my 13 Pro Max did feel a bit more dense, after 8 to 10 days, I no longer notice the weight difference and truly only noticed it at all because it was mentioned so many times in the forums and YouTube vlogs. Let's face it. You probably have shoes that weigh more than the 13 Pro Max. I do, however, appreciate that it's not a fit for those who are smaller in stature or find it difficult to use with one hand.

My 13 Pro Max is in an Otterbox Defender Pro case, the slimmest edition in my memory, and is easily pocketable and not as bulky as one might expect having used this model case since 2006. When we are able to get back to travel and being in the office, the larger battery and it's longevity will be welcome thing with reduced battery anxiety.

Choose what works best for you but try not to get your mind wrapped around the axle on the size and weight of the 13 Pro Max or any other plus size smartphone until you have given it a try for a few weeks while, at the same time, ignoring these immutable characteristics, and evaluate the performance and utility of getting through the work week and every day life.

Sooooo I sold my 12 pro max which I enjoyed but did think it was too big at times. Im back to my X and love it. I pulled the trigger on the 13 PRO this year! Going smaller and feeling good about my decision!

I originally ordered a Sierra Blue Pro (moving from 11 Pro Max) from Amazon after trying them out at the store. Unfortunately it arrived with a dead battery and ultimately a boot loop problem and I had to return it. Ended up ordering the Max after Amazon Mexico got a restock of the Max in all color’s and sizes. Looking forward to its arrival tomorrow.

I did start off with the 13 Pro from launch but have just moved over to the Pro Max

I find when out and about I’m 2 handed when typing anyway and I had too many days ending in the red on the Pro battery.
