Went from a 11 pro max to a blue iPhone 12 and back to a 13 pro max this time. Last year was just a downsize test, it had it‘s benefits but I missed my bigger battery and screen.

I’ve went from the 13 pro max to 13 pro now back to max. And now I miss the size of the pro. Lol.
But that screen and battery? Aren’t they the most important? Just find myself squinting at the pro display. Feels so small, might as well have a mini 😂

Okay... well as I said... "According to Apple.." In any case... so far my 13 Pro is very close if not similar to my 11 PM in terms of battery life...
That would be totally off: I had a 13 Pro for a week before returning it for a Max. My previous one was an 11 Pro. The smaller 13 Pro was on par or only marginally better than the 11 Pro in that regard. The 11 Pro Max would totally outlast the 13 Pro.

The brain works in mysterious ways. 2 weeks after getting the Pro Max, it just seems normal. Not heavy, not big, just normal. Loving the battery life, I had the regular 12 and there was definite battery anxiety. That's gone now with the 13 Pro Max. Cameras are great too.

I don't understand how people could be happy with the size of a Max unless they use a purse.
I don't understand the problem. My iPhone 13 Pro Max in an Apple Leather case fits perfectly in my jeans side pocket, even skinny jeans. It fits into my running shorts pocket. In fact it feels better in dress trousers (pants) because it doesn't move around as I walk unlike the smaller iPhone Pro. There is no scenario where I feel it is too big or heavy. I was prepared to have issues, going from an iPhone 12, and I bought it knowing I could return it if I found it too large. I surprised myself that unlike with every iPhone I have bought previously, I have not had a single regret.

I need to just get a phone and be done with it. I keep going around in circles on Pro vs Pro Max 😂 Totally depends on the day. Yesterday I was set on the regular 13 Pro... today I told myself it wouldn't really improve the experience as much as I wanted (in terms of one-handed use).

I've had every plus / max sized phone available-- but I also didn't really miss it that much on the iPhone X. Almost bought a 13 Pro at the Apple store on Saturday since they had one in stock-- but then the Apple Store employee talked me out of it, suggesting that I'd really miss the battery life if I was accustomed to a Max.

Main reason I've been considering the 13 Pro vs the Max is that I've had some joint pain in my right thumb (MCP joint)... like I'm starting to finally pay the price for trying to reach across this huge screen with my thumb in one handed use.

I don't know, it looks huge and annoying to hold or keep in the pockets.
The iPhone 13/13P has the perfect size.

Are you extremely tall by any chance?

No. I'm 5' 9". Like others have said, it took me no time at all to get used to the large size - and I was very dubious whether I would be able to deal with it before I bought it. Now I look at my iPhone 12 and it looks really small. The extra weight of the Max is completely commensurate with its size so it doesn't feel too heavy either.

13 Pro. I had a 6 Plus and 7 Plus, didn't like the larger form factor as much. It was harder to use with one hand, didn't fit as well in my pocket, didn't fit in the cupholders of many vehicles, and after both of them I decided that the extra screen size wasn't worth the tradeoff in convenience. Went back down with the XS, then stuck with the smaller size with the 13 Pro.
That's the trajectory I took as well, minus the 7. Going from the plus phones to the regular X/XS was perfect, since the screen was basically the same size, just the phone around it got smaller. I've not looked back.
The Max is too big. Now that the cameras are on par for both, there is no point in having that huge phone now.
Same thoughts here. The cameras being the same are what pushed me over the edge on upgrading this year. That and the upgrade to 3x telephoto vs. the 2x on my XS.

13 Pro. I’m not a fan at all of Apple’s current design language. I’m on Team rounded edges being far more ergonomically-friendly to hold in the hand and give the illusion of a less-big design.

The Max’s are way too big feel in the hand and like a brick in any pockets I use on a daily basis.

More power to this of you who love them. I would never consider such a size (with the current squared-edges) after checking one out a friend of mine at work has.

Had the 11pro max, was very happy with size weight and how it felt (never put in case).
Received 13pro max. After 10 days exchanged for 13pro. PM felt too big and uncomfortable in hand.
13pro Max is the Cadillac Escalade
13pro is the Porsche 911
Drove both and went with the Porsche…

no purse, pants is not tight but loose. Most of my pants (well more like joggers) are like this.

Haha... it never fails. I never think the Max looks big when I'm holding it... but then I see someone else holding one and think THAT THING IS GINORMOUS 😂

I've never had a problem pocketing my Plus / Max phones but I am on the tall side and prefer a loose fit.

Is it? Doesn’t feel that huge to me. Pants are loose darn it, but feels weird ordering xxs when xs is available, I’m short/slender but also luckily enough to have curves in the right spots.

I just don’t need to carry a purse. The phone also fits just fine in my jacket** pockets with zippers… it’s when I use a case that thing gets a bit too big.

Exactly. Doesn't feel that huge to me either. When I use mine it seems "normal" size to me. Then I see someone who's 5'2" with one and think it's a small iPad, haha. I guess we just acclimate to how it looks and feels in our own hands.

No case?
