I thought seeing the birth of my daughter was a day I would never forget, but the Beatles.... on iTunes....Wow! I have already cleared my Beatles alac files in anticipation of this. Popping two Qualudes now just to calm down...

I love The Beatles! So much so that I have a stack of 8-track tapes full of The Beatles songs and I was waiting for Apple to finally release them in iTunes so that I could have them in digital format!!!! </sarcasm>

So does this mean Garth Brooks is finally coming to iTunes? :)

You're obviously a 12 year old that joined here because your parents' money got you a Mac, and you have no self-respect, respect for others, and no appreciation for what made all of the music you listened to today.

You couldn't have listed 3 bigger artists in the music world. That was possibly the worst post I have ever read.
.

12 year old? hah. wish I was :) try 40+
Join? I joined years ago.
Parents money for mac? Man, try something better. Why do you guys always use this common line to belittle users on macrumors. So, boring!!!

I take care of my parents and my relatives as well at the same time bought my own mac. Can you do better?

Justin Bieber sucks too.

Then the dying question now is, what DO you like? Are you deaf, maybe, and hate all audio? Do you like flashing lights and vibrations?

Your join date is 2008. That isn't years ago. That's 2. Then again, years plural is 2. Based on the caliber of your posts, you don't act a year above 20. I don't want to get into anything here. My conscience is screaming to apologize, beg for forgiveness, and admit that you're all knowing.

Get back to me for that on 12/21/12.

(Yes, trust me 'kid', I've done better. You'd regret getting into that. I'll spare you.)

If it is the long-awaited Beatles announcement, this will be a very sad day for the Mac community.

For years now, Beatles on iTunes has been talked about before every single Apple announcement. It's been featured in countless lists for guesses about Apple announcements. It's looked for in the graphics of every invitation, every web graphic. The words of each press release are eagerly parsed looking for matches in song titles or lyrics.

So true - and yet so far, no-one has tried to decode the clock faces as semaphore (the original reason for the arm positions) and come up with some far-fetched interpretation.

Soon...

If this is gonna be about the Beatles, I'll delete all their songs from my iMac and iPod.

Beatles iPad 2

The announcement will be the iPad 2. It will be loaded with all the Beatles music. The announcement will be from the NC Data Center streamed on the iTunes subscription streaming service.

Jobs 'For All' 2012 - Presidential campaign.

Just Another Day

Let's not forget that Just Another Day is the name of a song by Paul McCartney.

I already have every Beatles album. Apple could sell every one of their albums for $2 each and I could care less.

Who gives a shot about the Beatles?

I don't think this is not a great announcement, and not worth the Apple's frontpage; at most iTunes frontpage would have been more appropriate.

Really hope is not about this. Is disappointing in my opinion.

And to add to the speculation.....

The order of the Beatles on the Help! album: George, John, Paul, Ringo

The order of the clocks: California, New York, London, Tokyo

George died in California. John was killed in New York.

Does this mean that Paul will die in London and Ringo will die in Tokyo?!?!?!?

:p

oh my god.

I truly hope that this is true and it is the only announcement. Personally, I don't care for the Beatles. However, reading these posts is very entertaining. Thank you for cheering me up! Can't wait for tomorrow

One can hope. Ringo has gotten annoying.

If the Beatles is the thing I will never forget, then I might as well shoot myself. The Beatles, that's nice...but kinda lame.

LAME. I dont give two craps about the Beetles and never will.

If that's what the "big" announcement is....then that sucks. I hate the Beatles. ..flame away. ;)

Then stay in your parents basement tomorrow and don't worry about the announcement. How are people so conceited and on their high horse that they think EVERY Apple announcement or event has to pertain to them? Get over yourselves...if this does happen, there will be plenty of people who will be happy tomorrow. There is such a persistent culture of ignorance on this site- it's ridiculous.

...or maybe simply that they were just a little bit younger and Badfinger, Hopkin(s), Taylor produced music that their elder siblings listened to. Ha ha!

More seriously: people half my age seem to know much more about the Beatles' music than I do and musicians of a similar age cite them as an influence.

New format almost always seems to produce new sales.

Thanks ColinWil. You are the first person to reply to my post and most likely the only one that actually paid any attention to it. Everyone else here in this thread ignored my post and doesn't realize the Badfinger, Mary Hopkins and James Taylor Apple Apple/EMI connection to the Beatles catalog coming tomorrow. Most of the macrumors readers are too young to listen to someone that actually has been around long enough to know something.

I forgot about a few of the other artists involved. Although, even though I'm a big James Taylor fan, the only album involved is his debut album. There are only two songs worth squat on it, Carolina on my mind and Something in the way she moves. The arrangements are HORRIBLE and they were both obviously released later and mercifully redone into the beautiful classics they are today. I guess if you are really a serious fan it might be worth having, but I just listened to it on Rhapsody and hated it.

no, please no. don't let it be.

no, (reply) please (please me), no. Don't (bother me) (let it be)

I'm seeing a pattern here. :D

Then you must hate good music.

Consider yourself flamed.
