Who does not already have all of the Beatles in their itunes???? I don't see why a ton of people would buy their stuff in itunes. They have been absent from the catalog for so long that people already got their stuff elsewhere.

Paul is London, Ringo is California backwards, John looks a bit like New York (appropriate), and Tokyo is... George's head? That one doesn't really match up.

All of these locations are very appropriate: They were based in London for most of their career, New York was their first US visit which sparked the absolutely insane part of Beatlemania, their last tour location was in California, and their playing at Tokyo signified that Beatlemania was a worldwide phenomenon.

Keep on stretching!

And huge for you? Nope. A day to remember? Hardly.

???????
Just because this isn't huge for me personally doesn't mean this is just Steve-o stroking his ego.
As I've said, this is huge for both parties involved, and thus a pretty big event in the music industry. It is quite memorable when you look at this history of this saga.

thanks Colinwil

Thanks ColinWil. You are the first person to reply to my post and most likely the only one that actually paid any attention to it. Everyone else here in this thread ignored my post and doesn't realize the Badfinger, Mary Hopkins and James Taylor Apple Apple/EMI connection to the Beatles catalog coming tomorrow. Most of the macrumors readers are too young to listen to someone that actually has been around long enough to know something.

Hmmm - Post Card by Mary Hopkin's on there too - (p) 2010 Copyright Apple Corps Ltd.

There may be something in this:)

Keep on stretching!

Apple has always had a lot of symbolism in their announcements, and as you've said, Steve's personal stake in this makes it slightly more likely that this announcement is laced with Beatles references. I mean, those clocks seem fairly random otherwise.

The locations are pretty major places even without the Beatles references, so it is highly possible that the connection I made there is BS.

Beetles suck! I can't stand to listen to their songs as well as Elvis and Jackson. So old!!!

And the symbolism when it relates to the Beatles has been weak. They've been used in presentations, lyrics in invites, and other spots to the point where it doesn't really work.

I'm not sure I quite understand you, but the idea that this is example of Beatles symbolism is backed up by the fact that this event is almost certain to be about the Beatles.

This kind of record cover speculation is probably about on par with those who said Paul McCartney died in 1966 and was replaced with a lookalike because Paul was barefoot and out of step on the Abbey Road cover.

It started long before the Abbey Road cover. St. Pepper's, Magical Mystery Tour, the White Album (well here's another clue for you all: the walrus was Paul).

So does this mean Garth Brooks is finally coming to iTunes? :)

You're obviously a 12 year old that joined here because your parents' money got you a Mac, and you have no self-respect, respect for others, and no appreciation for what made all of the music you listened to today.

You couldn't have listed 3 bigger artists in the music world. That was possibly the worst post I have ever read.

Stick with your Justin Bieber then ... we do not care ... :cool:lol

Agreed... You think what you listen to is any better? Judging by that post, and the amount thought behind it, I'd vote negatory.

Fixed. Hopefully it isn't an announcement.

Hope you're right....but everything seems to point otherwise... Like everyone else said, who really would care about this. Sure The Beatles have a massive following, but everyone who likes them already has their stuff. I have bought a lot of stuff on iTunes, but something that I have never bought is stuff from my favorite bands....cause I already got the whole collection on CDs, and for new releases, I like to keep my CD collection growing.

Calm down dude, as you said this kid is too young to know what he's really talking about. No need to go after him with a pitchfork.

What I'm saying is that any hints that it could be the Beatles from the Apple site mean nothing.

So when will the announcement be if the clocks symbolize something else?

Would be interesting if the actual announcement is at 10 PST and people have been waiting at 7PST.

+1 The worst post ever from an extremely ignorant youth.
