Yes it's an awful experience for those excited to take delivery.

It's a bit concerning to read "sometime" in July. Based on Apples past use of the word sometime, one could easily estimate August.

The Apple Watch was announced in September 2014. Apple said that it would be available "early 2015". I don't know about you guys, but early 2015 means January-February. Maybe even March if you want to be more optimistic.
Then, two months ago, Apple announced that the Apple Watch is coming April 24th.
This was a big lie. Apple should say that the Apple Watch will be limited available online on April 24th.
Not being able to deliver a product announced 8 months ago is a failure. I don't know what the reasons are, but Apple had more than enough time to resolve all issues. Or maybe and just for a change be honest with us and say that the Apple Watch will be available by Mid 2015...Oh wait, even that is not true..

I feel like I haven't seen anyone post that they recieved a 42mm SS with BSB either. I still have a 5/13-5/24 ship date. Has anyone seen any of those floating around or recieved one?

Yes. I received mine this week. Got my order number by 12:02

The good news for me is that, the Apple Watch 2 won't be released before late 2016 :)

Tyger74: Did you get the update today, on a Saturday?

I have a feeling that all of our "Space Grey Aluminum Case" Watch Sports will ship around the same time as Apple gets the cases of them from China. Apple probably planned for the black watches to be in the minority rather than what has happened; those black watches are clearly in the majority.

Today ( Saturday ) about an Hour ago.

I think the Space Grey Watches are going take a while, from what I've read online they're pretty popular.

I truly hope that the Space Grey Watches don't take too long…
…but you are correct, they are very popular.

I talked to an online Apple rep and they said, "That is a very popular model!"

In addition, I saw a poll on an Apple site, I sadly forget which one, which showed that roughly 60% of their readers were getting the Space Grey Watch Sport out of all of the Watch options (Sport, SS, and even Edition)! If that reflects at all onto what was actually ordered, then there is a huge majority of pre-orders waiting for that exact model.

That could either be good (Apple having to focus its production on said watch model) or bad (no matter what Apple does, perhaps there is no good way to ramp production of that exact model) or neither (Apple is just ramping everything they can).

I truly hope that I don't have to wait until the end of May to receive my Watch. I am hoping that it ships closer to the 13th than the 27th. Waiting a month is bad enough! And to think I ordered it right when the web store opened. I find this appalling, IMNSHO.

Over 66% failure rate of display panels from the factory (an issue known for months). Taptic engine design failure requiring a halt in production prior to the April release.

Apple was only able to ship approx 250,000 watches to those that pre-ordered as a result. And I doubt Apple will be selling Apple Watches in store until around September (exceept for the gold edition watch).

I am honestly curious: Where are you getting the hard numbers from? I am only now hearing rumors of the taptic engine failure etc.

What gets me is that Tim Cook feels confident enough to tell investors that Apple will be able to expand into other countries mid/late June. I would think that can only happen once the existing orders have been dealt with. I hope that Apple will be able to meet the expected shipping dates they have provided people who have pre-ordered (like mine: mid/late May).

What Apple will likely do is allow pre-orders to begin in other countries in late June, but won't actually ship to those expanded countries until late July/Early August. Supply channels should be sufficient in the initial 9 countries by then. I got the impression that a lot of finished Apple Watches had to be scrapped due to the taptic engine failure issue and Apple is simply playing catch up still.

Has the leather loop shipped? I haven't seen this reported anywhere, so why isn't it mentioned here as well?

Yay...its now preparing for shipment

My credit card was charged yesterday and it now says Preparing for Shipment (42mm SS with Black Classic Buckle). initially, it was set to be shipped 5/13-5/17, ordered on 4/10 around 2:30am PT

Wifey's 38mm, melanese ordered on 4/24 for delivery on May20-28th, still no movements.

I ordered mine the morning of 4/12 it is a 42mm SG Sport which is obviously quite popular. From this forum I see we have gotten to minute 30 of preorders of this style. Has anyone heard about anything later then that preparing for shipment or being charged? I still have a shiping avilabilty of "June."

Still "Processing" my order of the SG Sport. May 13 - 27 ship date when only 7min after preorder. Only reason for that 7min was a change made for address since NO IN STORE PICKUP was available! Worst launch I have ever seen from apple and not just because I have not received one yet. Really, they make one version of this SG. You would think they would understand the need to make MANY more of this type for the launch... but no, doesn't seem that way.

end rant.

Something tells me that they are making an extremely large batch of them to ship out at one time. When that will happen is anyone's guess.

Although I would love a more updated shipping time frame then "June"

Mine says July. Since there's no real information on this it's very tempting to abandon ship and just wait for gen 2 (since I wanted to before my Fuelband broke!).

I'm not gonna howl because the 38mm may also be pushed back .... *I'll just cross my fingers and pray*
