Very true, very true. In the end, the Note 3 wasn't for me, though. The Moto X and Maxx are more to my liking, although I STILL haven't tried out the Maxx lol. I heard about the Cyber Monday deal and was debating whether or not I should buy the Maxx or just save a bit of money and get the Moto X.

Is the unlocked AT&T version compatible with T-mobile version and vice-versa?
Get the t mobile version. It works on at&T and t mobile and has an unlocked bootloader. The at&t version is missing a few bands, and has a locked bootloader. The t mobile version has no branding on it either.

I most definitely sold it. It would be foolish to return it to Amazon. And nope, it starts at 8am CST, which is 6am PST and 9am EST. Kind of a weird time to start, but whatever floats Motorola's boat I guess lol.
The moto site is pretty terrible. I have done a few trial runs at checkout and every time after entering a shipping address it takes me to a screen that says, "oops something went wrong." Once I leave the site and comeback it has worked and takes me to the payment screen. Just giving you a heads up if that happens. The back button will not work you need to leave the site and then return.

the best i get to is the moto x page. i click on the "design yours" button and i get an internal server error. argh!!
I was only getting that close on my phone, on the desktop/laptop I get nothing but internal server errors.
Finally got the site to work, took 15 minutes to design everything and its hanging up on the checkout page. Plus its still showing a price of $549.99. Typical Google launch, a complete and utter mess by an unprepared company

That actually sucks, because now ill have to be glued to twitter all day to get the deal. May just end up risking a Nexus 5 at this rate.
Not quite, at least not anymore. The initial page shows the promotional pricing but as soon as you try to select Moto Maker, the 'We'll be back soon' box pops up.
Does look like you can purchase the Developer Editions now though.
