My mom once smashed her own cellphone against a table in a spur-of-the-moment anger spaz attack.

My dad's phone died just with normal use. The top and bottom flip parts came apart.

Constant use is dangerous! But thankfully my mom's phone was just upgraded so his data was transfered to the new, old phone.

Well, my BRAND NEW iBook, the 2nd one, came in today :D

No dead pixels, it's perfect! :D :)

Thought i'd let you know..

THIS IS NOT GOING NEAR MY STEP MOM  ;)

I had a simalar experience with my first cell phone... my mom sent it through the wash on purpose. Sadly, I didn't know and it went in the dryer too!

Now I'm on my 3rd Cell phone cause my 2nds screen broke. I got a Razr V3 yesterday!!! :D

I'm just now reading this thread...

aaaahahahaha I did this to my PowerBook and took if to the genius bar for an unrelated issue.
THEY GAVE ME SUCH A HARD TIME!
Aahahaha it was fantastical!

it's a great prank to play on your $2000 computer that you got for free. :):)

I'm such a nerd and a jerk, but I LOVE IT!

My mom and I were fighting and she threw my iBook a few feet onto a pillow on the floor (it was on the couch while we were arguing). Broke the display bezel and screwed up the hinge alignment. A month later, I picked it up, the display bent a weird way, the screen blanked, and it never started up again--complete logic board failure.

Moral of the story: never let your angry parent(s) near your precious electronics! :D ;) :( :D

LilStewart,

I know how hard you worked and how long you waited for your iBook.

I'm more than sorry to hear what has happened.

Even though you feel better that your stepmother is buying you a replacement, I'm shocked that she could be so vicious knowing how much your iBook meant to you.

Any parent would be delighted that you find such strong motivation at your age to go out and work hard for something you want.

As a parent of three,
I can tell you that your stepmother has much to learn.

Your maturity in this situation is admirable.

You deserve our respect for handling it so well.

I think this is all BS, sorry but if it happened to me i wouldnt tell anyone.
Sorry if i am wrong

Yes, you ARE wrong.

Gosh, I didn't know this thread was still alive! My iBook the 2nd one is doing awesome. :D

The other iBook is great, too. I use it with an external screen and use it all the time. :)

Oh, and we did get money back from our credit card. But, instead of fixing it, she used the money for the new one. Fair, but she should've fixed the iBook. She shouldn't have used the money to get out of her consequence for smashing my dear computer.

Sorry for opening this thread again.

Keep her away from the new iMac.
