My iPhone 4S has shipped!!

Followed the OP instructions and checked UPS.com. UPS showed it was departing China already. Then I signed up for text message alerts and it showed to be in Kentucky. Can't wait!

For all of you having problems: If you ordered through apple just put your order number in "W123456789" MINUS THE LAST TWO DIGITS. THATS ALL YOU NEED FOR REFERENCE THEN IT WILL COME UP

You guys have it lucky. The people who ordered from AT&T are not even shipped yet. In fact, nobody seems to know what the hell is going on past the "your order is in progress" part.

For AT&T orders you wont see the China -> AT&T warehouse step. Once AT&T gets the pallets of iPhones from Apple then they'll ship it out of their own warehouse and provide tracking. Either they'll ship on Wed with 2-day shipping or most likely they'll ship it on Thurs by 1-day shipping

Well, I hate to say it, but I think the hold is in place. The UPS flight from Louisville, KY to Orlando, FL took off over an hour and a half ago, and no update to my UPS tracking page. So, it looks like the phones ordered from apple.com will be stuck in KY for now. Bummer! It's going be a long few days.
 
Random question... I tracked by reference for UPS and it says shipping to Los Angeles CA.... I live in FL.... is there something wrong here?

Anyone have confirmation that our phone has left KY yet?

If so, where are you located???

I'm in So Cal and my UPS Tracker says it's still in KY. There are 2 flights leaving around 3:30am for LAX and ONT... wonder if it will be on one of those.

If you have confirmation of a departure from KY post it here and let us know where you are.

There is a delay in updating status with UPS - so it's possible that it could be on the flight. I'm guessing it will take a full day's cycle for those phones in this first round of shipments, but I could be wrong (and hope I am as my box is sitting in Louisville since 9:28 this am too).

I guess we'll know more tomorrow morning, eh?

I'm searching by putting in the apple.com order number minus the last 2 numbers.

If you create an account with ups.com, you can view all of the reference data... Once you do that, you will most likely see that the last two digits of the order number are different than yours and that the cell number doesn't match. IE - You're tracking someone else's order. The reference number minus the last two digits would be good for 100 different orders.

Same thing was happening to me yesterday.

yeah that doesn't work for me. I orded a 64gb white ATT from apple.com at 500AM EST friday morning
