Had it reboot at least 1 times a day tried to restore didn't fix it happened since i got my phone

My Sprint 128GB 7 Plus was respringing often with the modem dying occasionally. On Friday while using the phone it suddenly went into a boot loop. Immediately brought it to the Apple Store where they tried a DFU which failed twice. They reserved a replacement since they were out of stock. When getting home I tried a regular restore from the 'Connect to iTunes' recovery screen, which worked until I tried to restore an iCloud backup. It now reboots shortly after entering my passcode on 'unlock to upgrade'. Unfortunately I still haven't gotten an email asking me to pickup my replacement and I need a working phone when I work tomorrow.

I've been to genius bar 4 times and exchange my iPhone 7 plus for a new one 2 times!
I'm on my 3rd iPhone in a month and still have the same problem and nobody knows why!
My guess is, it's a software related problem so hopefully they fix it in the next update!

Since the big update it's stopped.

Well mine hasn't had an issue since replacing the phone. Mine was definitely a hardware defect as even just sitting on the home screen after a completely fresh install, - no login to iCloud - just like out of the box - it would crash and reboot randomly.

My new phone hasn't had one issue in the weeks since I've owned it.

That sounds helpful to me! I picked the first option. I had my new phone the next business day, and sent back the old one. I question the owning of an iPhone if you really don't have the credit available for an additional one iPhone.

The occasional spinning circle respring - yes. That can be "normal" if an app crashes. The Apple logo full reboots - nope!
[doublepost=1480559462][/doublepost]Seriously buddy, this was an upgrade...
[doublepost=1480559966][/doublepost]Had sent my phone back to Apple with second option being without phone and received phone back after their supposed repair and having same issues (respringing randomly), so in january while traveling gonna stop at a Apple Store in Ohio because no Apple Store in entire state of West Virginia...

Are you using the Apple Leather Case by chance? I found in investigating an issue I thought was Bluetooth related that the new Apple Leather case is slightly wider than the old, and with the aluminum buttons makes it very easy to accidentally reboot the device - because rebooting now is Volume Down + Power; not Home + Power like on older devices.

I have a spot in my car I used to place my 6S+ but with the new case it's just wide enough that when I put the phone in the case in the same spot it reboots after 10 seconds (which is how long you have to press the buttons down to reboot the phone). It took a few times of it doing this for me to figure it out.

Just looked up this issue and I have the leather case... man I thought my phone was messed up. Thank you smart one

So my replacement phone is model number NN5T2LL/A. I can't find anything on this model number at all, and it's different from my original, defective Verizon phone. I popped my AT&T SIM in and it works, but I don't think it's unlocked...

Any thoughts?

Did you ever find out the difference? I was just given the same model and I am a Verizon user.

Thanks
J

I’m having the same problem!!!! My phone will randomly turn off and reboot itself at least 3 times a day!! ***** annoying! 1st I called tech over the phone and they did what they do and said nothings wrong with my phone. Problem was never solved. Then I went in the Apple store and they did what they did and reinstalled the software. Problem wasn’t solved. And I went in 4 days after that because it was still doing the same thing!!! So on Saturday 10/14/17 they replaced my phone with a “new one” and it stiiiill does the saaaaaaame thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ‍♀️‍♀️‍♀️‍♀️‍♀️ If I would have known there was this much trouble with iPhones I never would of spent my hard earned cash money on this!! my stupidity thoe.
