Jeez... talking about paranoia I just remembered an episode with a guy, swearing to god that his apartment was wired and being monitored by drug smugglers trying to kill him. And that taxis were an organized crime mafia following him wherever he went in order to harm him when spotted alone. He even smashed a cup into a 50" LED tv, cause he thought there was a camera inside.
You just can't know what to expect from people nowadays
OP should have posted an update by now, it was probably a misunderstanding lol.
Why would a MBP need to be bagged, and doubled no less. The box has a handle.

Seriously people, unless you are the OP, stop posting to this thread. I keep logging back in and seeing that there are new posts and am always disappointed.![]()

And furthermore, I am glad I don't have to share the road with this guy. Can you imagine the capacity for road rage? You stole my lane!!! I will KEEL you!!!

Of course. I did actually get a paper cut from the sharp edges of the cardboard that surrounds the handle opening. In all fairness though, I was handling the box in a reckless manner which was probably not what Apple had in mind when they had someone design the box.
For the non-Brits, Argos is a chain of catalogue stores where you select an item to purchase from a catalogue and then they bring it to you from a warehouse.
Curious what an Argos receipt is like, is it just a cash register paper tape

That's not what I meant. Walking around north London with an exposed MBP box is really not a good idea. To be fair, its not really advisable to do this anywhere... with or without receipt.

There should be a few examples on google images.
Now you tell me? I've been carrying these things around Manhattan and the high end mall in my town for years. I am ambivalently ignorant of London geography and how incidents of crime map over the various regions. Is this crime-ridden north London where the Argos store is?
Additionally, your serious comment has no place in this thread. You really brought me down with it. If I wanted to be confronted with harsh reality I'd walk around North London with an exposed box.
Thank you.
Believe me, there was no intent in my previous posts so apologies if you read them with a different slant and took it the wrong way. What I was suggesting was that its generally not street-wise to walk around with an exposed box be it London, Paris, New York or Boston but its different in a shopping mall where I could just walk straight to my car. Just a thought for reducing risks thats all... people have been robbed for far less.
i find north london a far safer than south london
i live on the 19th floor in elephant - and i can pretty much see crime daily on the Walworth Rd -from my apt...
Back to the tread - where has the OP gone?????
