I don't know why, but every time I look at the leaked iPhone 5 design, I cringe. It doesn't seem like a product Apple would sell. It looks odd.

Because it doesn't look exactly like the previous model? Steve Jobs apparently worked on this particular version extensively before his death. Regardless, Apple has to evolve its product lines.

If they still do 16GB as the low end I would be pissed, my 5 year old iPhone is 8GB and I easily filled it up then. I expect after 5 years we get more than a doubling of storage on the low end.

Unless I missed it, Apple hasn't announced the storage capacities of their unannounced yet-to-be-released new iPhone. All this report says is the prices will be the same (no sh**) and this dude SPECULATES this means same storage capacities.

I'm with ya hoping Apple moves to 32/64/128. We'll just have to wait and see!

In other news, ATT, Sprint and Verizon data plans will all remain the same price for the same GB as they are now.

With more games and apps clocking in at 1GB+, combined with the increased file size of photos and HD video recordings, 16GB really doesn't cut it any more. It was fine in the days of the 3GS but 32GB should be the minimum at that price point IMO.

No I mean it just doesn't look right to me. It seems really long. Usually Apple will make the design look modern but this doesn't look modern at all to me for some reason.

I've got 15 months or so left on my 4S contract, so I'm more interested in knowing when we'll see iOS 6. Hopefully that's shipped soon after the event.

I'd say it will be announced & available at the press event. The Apple Store app was recently updated. The only note in the changelog was "iOS compatibility update". Since the last iOS update was 3 months ago, I'd wager this references iOS 6.

My 32 iP4 is mostly full, and it's almost all from Apps (I don't know why they take up so much space), but I'll probably get a 64 just to have some free space again. I think free space does help with performance. But I do wish it was 32 at $199 and 64 for $299 with the older 4S at 16 for $99. Heck, they could even introduce a 128 and make it like $499.

In yet other news, AT&T will remain silent on when they are deploying LTE to new markets, and therefore seriously losing a lot of business in places like Denver, Philly, and Seattle. Interestingly enough they have 60 cities listed on their LTE coverage list, and 47 more cities as coming soon, with no date ranges, or any other information as to what defines "coming soon".

Get ready AT&T. I'll be paying you an ETF this month and walking over to big Red after 5+ years of iPhone service.

It's ridiculous if the storage stays the same. 32Gb should be the minimum at this point.

with cloud storage, and even cloud music storage.....16 gb is plenty. I would almost be willing to bet 16gb is their biggest seller.

After this "story" I will stop looking T Mac rumors... See y'all Wednesday!

9to5Mac reports that it has received information indicating that Apple will be launching six models of the iPhone 5, code named "N42", at next week's media event. The information indicates that Apple will be releasing black and white versions at the same three prices carried by the iPhone 4S: $199/$299/$399.

A number of accessories are naturally expected to accompany the iPhone launch, and pre-orders for the new device will reportedly begin "soon after" the introduction, if not on the day of.

The problem is that if they doubled storage size, they'd have to charge only $100 more to go from 64GB to 128GB. That would lower their margin on the high end model.

Plus, they have to keep some new stuff for the iPhone 5S...

It does look odd, whether Jobs liked it or not. Maybe better in person? Maybe better to hold that way. Or not in that way. Easier to pull it out of a pocket?

I plan to get the 16GB for my wife if they have it still. She doesn't even come close to using 16GB.

I thought the same about the iPhone 4 when it leaked. It is always better in person and when Apple shows it and explains it.

I was really hoping that they would ditch the 16GB and have 32GB as the lowest capacity model.....

16GB is not adequate anymore. Seriously, is the 32GB chip that much more than the 16GB chip? No. Profits, profits, and that rights, profits.
