To the people saying that they don't use a case, and have dropped their phone and they don't care.

Don't lie. You know the moment you dropped your phone and saw the scuffs and nicks that you died a little inside.

I happen to think cases are cool because it adds customization to your phone. If no one had a case, every iPhone would look the same.

Invisishield HD screen protector and a ZooGue case.

Got the ZooGue for free. This is sweet. My wife has had it for a year and despite it being a bendable plastic, the plastic hasn't softened and the it still holds on to the phone. Great little case for the price.

Wish I had a nice clear case that allowed me to admire the gold though. But most clear cases are hard plastic and scratch quiiiiick

Zoogue is garbage and not free. A piece of trash that you pay shipping on is not free.

I never understood why anybody would use a case on a beautiful design like the iPhone 5 or 5S.

All cases, no matter how slim, absolutely ruin the look. You may think they're sleek and thin, but at the end of the day you have a case and it's just not the same. It sucks. And deep down inside you know it sucks.

Now, of course I understand why people THINK that they have to use a case. Most use it because they feel that's the only way to preserve the phone, its value, blah blah blah...

You can stress about not having a case. Or you can do what I do. When my phone is all banged up and time comes to sell, I simply make an appointment with a genius in an Apple store, make up some bulls**t excuse as to what is not working (such that they can't refute it), and bang, I walk out with a brand new looking phone.

I did this with my iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, and iPhone 5. No questions asked. Exchanged on the spot. Then I sell this brand new looking iPhone. Question is, why would I not take advantage of this when I pay so much money for the phone?

There ya have it. There are millions of sheeple protecting their precious phone. And then there's me, enjoying the sleek design of the phone without a stupid case, and getting a new-looking replacement when it's time to sell.

You're welcome.

You will get burned on here for saying that lol. Don't forget the money wasted chasing the perfect case. I have spent $250 for 5/5s cases.

I don't understand completely.. Wouldn't this imply you have AppleCare+? At the point of resell wouldn't you be out of warranty otherwise?

They can flame all they want. It is what it is.

No case. And a perfect phone whenever I want. Sue me.

I still have my black and slate iPhone 5... just got it replaced and I put it in a case because of the fragile chamfered edge. That part scratches/chips easier than chalk.

If I had a silver or gold one though I'd probably rock that thing naked though.

Unlike some people on this thread, I admit this is a good idea. Do you need applecare to do this? And what excuse do you use? :D

You'd have to be straight crazy not to have some form of protection.

Either that or you don't care about resale value or you like to burn money on replacements via oow or applecare+.

OR you care about your stuff.

I've sold my 3G and 4S for high value after never using bulky cases or screen protectors. Most recently got $300 for a 2 year old 4S and just handed over a mint 1 year old 5 to my girl.

5S in hand, no screen protector and just a Sena ultra slim sleeve for when it's in my pocket.

----------

To add to my last post, the first thing I do when my girl gets my used phone is hard case and screen protector. So I don't look down on case users - some people just want to throw their stuff around but have it look great later on anyways. Different strokes.

I'm using the Apple branded case and a Verizon clear screen protector on the front. I have also used Invisishield in the past as well as Powersupport USA, which are great but they are backordered.

I like the fact that my phone remains in excellent condition throughout its lifespan, but I certainly do enjoy the times when it's out of its case! I just know that if I leave it out of the case and w/o screen protection that it will get scuffed and scratched or worse. So it's worth the piece of mind for me.

Because frankly, I think the 5/5S is uncomfortable to hold. It's too thin and has hard edges. That's a big reason I use a case.

Only screen Protector First iphone i use without jumpet because have Apple care +

That's great.

For those who use a case, we can't understand how someone could pay and get this great looking device and then scuff and scratch it to all hell. Some people do protect and keep things in mint condition. It's totally up to the person, acting like people are idiots because they put a case on their phone is stupid as hell.

These case companies make bank, obviously most people buy a case. I on the other hand purchase generic 5$ cases on eBay, that do the job. I don't spend a lot of money on cases at all. The most expensive case I ever bought was $15.99.

And no matter how many times you guys say your phone looks mint after no case for two years, it simply doesn't. I'm sure those that baby it can keep it nice, but it won't look as nice as a cased iPhone, once that case comes off and it's time to sell. And best believe that if you drop that thing without a case, it's gonna be ugly.

Case closed (no pun intended). If you like a naked iPhone, great... good luck.

Oh and by the way, admitting that you just get a new replacement before selling just proves that phones DONT STAY mint without a case. If it did, you wouldn't have to fraudulently replace. You're digging yourself a hole a little bit. For those that don't like to lie about their phone having a problem to get a replacement, we use a case.

What is AppleCare?

I never bought anything other than a phone. No warranties. No nothing.

Wow. I had no idea people on this board are so clueless. Maybe that's why I'm able to screw the Apple exchange policy so often? Because most people don't know that they can?

I know what you do and I have heard of people that fake a problem on their iPhone before the 1 year warranty is up to get a new phone. And you know what? Apple geniuses know this too, they usually replace it because they don't feel like dealing with a whiny kid who wants a new phone because he scratched his.

And you're calling people on here clueless yet you claim you don't know what Applecare is? Pot calling the kettle black.

Anyways...a lot of people know that they can lie, but they choose not to. It's called a conscience. Find one.

You just admitted to fraud. Do you have any tips on how to cheat on taxes? Lol

Fraud? lol

You're going to prove somehow that my speaker doesn't make buzzing noise on occasion?

This is comedy. "Fraud" - LMAO!

I use the SGP Glas.TR Nano protector on front and accompanying protector films at back ... then I rock it !

Just posting this comment tells me that you care. Please use a case. I upgrade/sale my phones every year and I know that if I was a buyer I would avoid any phones with a single scratch. I'm about to put my Note 2 up for sale with 3 cases and I can confidently say "not one single scratch". That's a damn good indication that a product was well maintained.

I put a back screen protector on it, so it doesn't scratch when placing it on tables. The rest of the phone naked. Worked fine for my 4S. Just be careful, and don't hand your phone to stupid friends and you'll be fine.
