Netflix Raises Prices, Premium 4K Plan Now Costs $18 Per Month

Another Price Hike?! This really stinks. They are cancelling all the good shows quickly and then asking people to pay more. For what? So they can keep cancelling good shows? 😢
$18 for 4K is expensive. I get why they restrict 4K to the premium plan, but it really is frustrating when nobody else holds 4K hostage to the highest plan.
I mean sure, raise prices, make people look for not-so-legal alternatives get people to save 13-18 bucks per month. There are apps/websites that are like Netflix but free and without any geo-restrictions. Sounds like win win for consumers.

Is the basic plan really limited to 480p?! What year is it again?
I want to do this, but my parents use my account, so I'll go from Premium to the Standard as it makes no sense.
I am sure there are some that still do. And many of the ones that have 720p probably don’t want to pay $19 a month for 4K HDR when in their mind, they can still enjoy it at the lower cost DVD rate.
This is ridiculous give me a break. I live by myself. Why am I paying for a family plan 4 streams to get 4K. Guess I need to start sharing my account to offset the price hike.
Amazon Prime is OK for me. Netflix has been included in my cable package for a few years now otherwise I would have dropped it last time.

I don't understand why 480p is still a thing... 1080 should be entry level.
Ironic that they really are starting to emulate the cable TV industry... Quantity over quality, and you have to pay for all of it to get any of it.

I get the basic one for free from T-Mobile and its fine for my occasional use. even though I create content, I feel its a waste of life to surround your life with so much content like a zombie. the basic one looks fine on my 4k TV. I haven't bought a OLED TV because I dont want to spoil myself and ruin my reality. Same reason I dont want to drive anyone's Tesla. I just dont want to know what im missing right now.
Over priced garbage, my family and I can never find anything to watch on Netflix anymore and actually find ourselves watching more and more interesting content on YouTube than any of these streaming services.

That is we're going from 191.88 to 215.88. The difference is not irrelevant.
