Any given streaming service costs me $10 to $20/month. I get programming that's ad-free, and on demand. I'm still hard pressed to do that with cable TV.Cut the cord, they said.
You’ll save money, they said.
Seems, reasonable. When people need to improve their financial situations, they consider a combination of things. Factors can include making more money, AND cutting back on spending. There was never any rule that you were only allowed to do one of those things, and not both.And to think, all those millions of subscribers they gained after the "crackdown", yet they still have to raise prices. Guess times are tough at the old 'Flix. Maybe they need to get back into DVDs...
Much simpler: Subscriptions will only be yearly.It wouldn't surprise me if streaming services introduced initiation fees every time you start/restart service to discourage cycling.
I don't know. There seems to be less content worth downloading anymore. Overall the quality of most streaming content its going down with a few honourable exceptions, but in particular with Netflix, I can't remember when I was last excited for one of their shows? 🤔Cool! That means that I will save even more money now by pirating Netflix content.
It’s totally free how do you subscribe?I have one subscription - 123movies (dot domain). $20 for 3 months and have access to everything, download to my iPad - AirPlay to Apple TV.
If you’re doing it differently you’re doing it wrong.
They need more market share first.Question is: Apple when? Everybody needs money.
Torrent streaming is alive and well. Look into Stremio.Looks like cable all over again… ads in our tv, just kind of wireless. All streaming want is to switch to ad based tiers because there is bigger profit. F-you!. Torrents will be back from the dead!
The Basic plan is the only one that has increased just 2 bucks in 10 years. I can see why they are axing it.Over the past 10 years, Netflix's subscription prices have almost double.
2013
Basic = $7.99/mo
Standard = $7.99/mo
Premium = $11.99/mo
Oct 18, 2023
Standard with ads = $6.99/mo --> $6.99/mo
Basic = $9.99/mo --> $11.99/mo
Standard = $15.49/mo --> $15.49/mo
Premium = $19.99/mo --> $22.99/mo
Does that app provide a cloud to upload content?I use the infuse app ($1/month). Upload all my favorite tv shows and movies there. Cancelled Netflix 4 months ago 👍
