Some of you are delusional..there will be no software updates to this program, it was pulled, it's not for sale.

There wont be anymore tethering apps. It was pulled for a reason. I'm sorry you mssed out but I can't let a fellow human being live in denial.

Somebody responded to my earlier post about the battery. MacBook plugged in shouldvebeen more than enough power to balance the power output/intake.

Your Wrong!

Hands, don't count on it. If Apple pulled the application, they've got a reason, and that reason is AT&T. There will be no updates, there will be no more app.

And BTW, it's "You're", not "Your".

Well, maybe not. Maybe he meant it was your personal wrong. Kind of like "my bad", "your bad",... "your wrong". It's about ownership

Copying Apps does not work

in this thread, people have advocated for making a backup of the mobile apps folder in case you need those files again. However, after making copies of my apps and putting them in another folder, deleting all of my apps from iTunes and the mobile apps folder, and then trying to use the copied files iTunes does not recognize files simply moved into the mobile apps folder. When I try to use the "import" function under the files menu, I am told that the file was not properly exported by iTunes. Anyone have any input? Thanks

GadgetShare!

Some of you will quickly see flaws in my thinking but think of tethering as a voice not just to surf but to communicate to thousands of other devices all around you cars travelling so they don't hit you or you them gadgets sending information to countless other gadgets. The current 3g as far as I know just sends messages back and forth to Att.WiFi sends the signal to all these gadgets so there's a gap for tethering companies and of course Apple and a lot of other people to influence how this works and how much is charged for the service.Surely,Apple sees this as a potential market and would therefore grease the wheels of progress by pushing NetShare etc as forrmidabley is it has with say the iPhone.

I want some of whatever you have been smoking.

That is the most jacked up thing I have read on these forums in awhile. Amazing.

so the new phone bill should be out now... anyone that used this checked if they charging more or normal bill?

just got my bill

kind of painful, but not surprising: over $200 because they bill a month in advance or something (I have unlimited texting plan). I used Netshare for several hours and was not charged any overage. Whatever that might mean.

Update: Apparently normal web browsing is a low-intensity activity in terms of data usage: I used less than .2 GB since 7/11.

well that seems good.

side note:
I got them to remove activation fee cause i was already charged at APPLE... double charge... errrrrrrrrrr

I'm not sure if "jacked up" means something derogatory or positive, but positive would be perforable.I can't help thinking that it would be cheaper to build a lot of small "gadgets" that used wifi than having them connected up to a carrier like att.All kinds of services and pricing models could be brought about.Sure it all takes quite a lot of power, but over time wifi's radius could dramatically increase and batteries and other powering methods could make the mass production of small powerful "beacons"(seems like a better name than gadget) even more widespread one day than barcodes are today.

how can I get app

is there anyway to get the netshare app? I have been able to save other apps and copy the .ipa files to my other iTunes library. Unfortunately I did not get to the app store in time while this app was available. the mac can use other phones via bluetooth to tether, there has got to be some way to do it on a phone made by Apple don't you think?

you can always jailbreak your phone. However there is no way to do it currently and keep your phone vanilla.

The site says it isnt coming back up its banned a tragic thing, i was gonna buy it but then i was like later but i missed the opportunity

What a mean joke to post on such an old thread! I thought it was back on the App Store!! All in good fun, but you really had my hopes up.

This is good stuff, i'll take any chance I can to screw AT&T over. I hate them with a passion. Their networks both data and voice are terrible.

Been using it here and there since the app came out, no overage charges, although I'm very wary of what sites I go to while using it.
