What do you mean "still"?? As in are you suggesting the 12.9" is some boat anchor relic? GTFOOH.Looking at this thread, I see that allot of people are still buying the 12.9" iPad. I had the old one, but I got it strictly for the Apple Pencil. It quickly got cumbersome lugging it around. When the 9.7" was announced that felt like a downgrade to me so I skipped it, but this 10.5" iPad checks all the boxes for me. Apple Pencil, full sized keyboard, while being an upgrade over my 12.9" iPad Pro in every way.
You pick what size is best for you but the multitasking on the 12.9 will certainly hold alot more value on IOS 11 compared to 10.5.Looking at this thread, I see that allot of people are still buying the 12.9" iPad. 12.9 256GB. Seems the 12.9 doesn't get much love.

In terms of productivity the 12.9 appears a better option to me but depends on a person's usage and needs
Pre-ordered a 12.9 last week, email this morning from BB said it was "delayed" and they expect to ship it to me by July 13th. I have 4 Apple stores with plenty of stock around me, but I wanted that $50 giftcard. Already picked up my Apple Pencil, so I'm itching to cancel my pre-order. This is why I don't shop at Best Buy...
Nope.
There goes resale value.
Fricken' lazers.
I have had the mini since the very first day it was released. I haven't had a single "unwanted touch"
Went from Air 2 to 10.5 today and it’s a definite upgrade!!
So managed to find a 64 GB 10.5 space grey WIFI model at BB (they only had a few units in) and now just innitialy checking out the device comparing it with my Air 2 and first thoughts are WOW.
This thing is just fast. No stutter, no lag, nothing. The screen is gorgeous. And for me, it feels perfect and far better than the 12.9 pro I tried and returned last year. The 12.9 was fantastic but far too big for me, always having a 9.7 version I was curious how this 10.5 version would be. So far, so good.
I'll post back with more detailed thoughts but my first impression is I'm ridiculously impressed everyone.
but the 256G version is $100 cheaper (in Australia) for the new model 12.9" so you have to pick the right one. Thanks for confirming.

Enjoy your blown up phone split screen interface. 12.9" owns.
Be glad we have choices. I'm glad the little one works best for you!

With reference to the device I can see no issues. I have only problems with PDF Expert 6, which I use a lot, running iOS 11. It seems annotate and signing pdf files not working at all.Seems stable? No major issues?
Think too many people believe the 12.9" version is just too big. It feels way lighter than my original 9.7" iPad - we forget how far things have come along the way.
Sitting back at a normal, usable distance makes the screen look similar to about an 80" tv (it dwarfs my wall mounted 65" screen at relative viewing distances).
The screen is amazingly bright. The four speakers actually have some bass (not 5.1 surround beating but good enough to make you want to watch video or listen to music). They are very clear and LOUD and even music sounds good when not pushed to the max.
Why does this thing not have USB-C?
I'm curious what your thoughts are on that key demographic. I purchased the Rose Gold iPhone 6s Plus, not because it was the clearest way to distinguish the 6 from 6s (I've been accused of such pedantry before), but because I find the color to be luxurious in a way that silver (and gold) have lost over the years - as a color, not a metal. Pink itself doesn't do it for me (no pink shirts in my closet), but the aluminum shows the color nicely. The gold, and even more so, ROSE gold, are marketing tools to appeal to key demographics. I'd actually prefer them to release some bolder colours instead: PRODUCT RED, iPod Blue and iPod Pink would liven up the tablet world.
