If you left your stolen/lost AirPod Pros attached to your Apple ID. Can you now use this feature to find them if someone else started using them and has them attached to their Apple ID?

My Pros seemed to update pretty quickly without any jumping through hoops.

The Find function wasn't working in Find My despite the update and being able to turn on separation alerts, but a restart of the phone fixed that.

Interesting the way the grammar in Find My calls them Airpod Pro's, which is the way I'd always thought they should be named. I guess this is 'grammatically correct', given the users name previous, but when is a company known to change branding for correct grammar?

Why is there an apostrophe in "Pros"?????? Please tell me that's Stephen being a doofus and not a complete failure to proofread at America's largest tech company.

Those are just screenshots from a user in this forum. He's credited underneath the images.

Come on all - it's a forum I don't think we need to be policing anyone's grammar on here, its juvenile and so boorish.

I have iOS 15.0.1 and my AirPods Pro are updated to 4A400 as well but they don't have the new "Find My" feature. :(
Had this issue as well - follow the full 'Reset AirPods Pro' procedure on Apple's website, then repair with your iPhone. That made the FindMy integration activate for me. LMK if you need help.

My firmware was already updated prior to reading about this, but took forever to get it to actually work. Restarted my phone twice and nothing.

After putting the AirPods in my ear, it finally showed "Find" instead of directions. Something to try for those having issues.

Hi!!! Quick question
I've had issues before updating my Airpods while on the Beta, but it seems they are updating right??
Im on 15.1 beta 2

Is this an update for the 2nd gen AirPods As well or just the AirPods max and pro?

Unclear on your exact question, but people have been able to get this updated firmware for APs whilst on 15.1b2.

Thank you very much. I appretiate your fast, polite and friendly help. Greetings from Germany, worked like a charm! <3
No worries at all!! Glad it worked for you :)

Do the airpods need to be in the case for this to work! What If I left the airpods somewhere but the case is with me?

APs need to be in their case and preferably on charge (at least that's what people seem to say).

What I’ve found:
  • Two different Play Sound tones:
    • When inside case (case needs to be open to connect): louder tone
    • Outside case, softer gets progressively louder
  • Have to have them connected to Bluetooth from the device you want to play a sound from
