Neither have I
It took me about 5 hours of connecting/disconnecting, charging/unplugging, and fiddling with it every 30 minutes to an hour or so. There was no one thing I did to cause it to finally update.

Play music through the AirPods for at least 30 seconds. Then pause music, return airpods to case and plug them into power. Wait a half hour, with iphone near AirPods.
Tried that countless times and it’s not doing it for either my AirPods Pro or my AirPods Max. I even left everything connected up overnight and nothing. i’ve never had a problem with firmware updates before for AirPods.
I wonder if the updates are regional with a staggered roll out

It's nice they finally included in the Apple Find My service.

I tested them when going around my city, they actually works, however I don't get the location update as frequent as my iPad in offline mode. It's probably because the AirPods doesn't transmit their beacon as frequent or/and as powerful as the iPad does.

Yes, it looks like the beacon transmit is fairly infrequent, which is why warn that could take upto minute to locate too I suppose.

Interesting, it’s not supposed to work that way. How are you hearing a beep from a different floor?

Look at the published date of that page, February 2021, they haven't updated the support page to the current Airpods firmware version.

The most recent firmware update integrates Airpods into Apple Find My service so every Apple devices which participates to "Find My" network will report its location.

I've just tested that feature yesterday by putting my Airpods Pro in my pocket and turning off Bluetooth on my iPhone while I'm going around the city nearby me.

Another poster topdownjimmy posted this and it worked for me.
At first I couldn’t get it to work only by opening the case it would then find them, but obviously what’s the point of that.
As another poster advised, shut down the phone twice and tried it and at last it found them, but had the wee swirling dots for about 30 seconds just about to give up when it found them lying 3 feet away:rolleyes:
Thanks 🙏🏼

This worked for me for APP. Essentially:
1) Start with them not plugged in and case closed.
2) Listen to 30+ seconds of music.
3) Put them away & Close the case
4) Plug them in.
5) Wait 30 minutes & they should update.
Contrary to what some people say, opening the case might interrupt the process. But, your mileage may vary.

Curious if others are finding audio cutouts when streaming music with these on the new firmware or that is because of beta 3 for 15.1.

I’m on 15.1, AirPods Pro updated to latest firmware and find my doesn’t work. Good job
Search for "How to reset your AirPods and AirPods Pro" and do that. People are reporting that doing so enables the new features.

I have tried this multiple times, yet it still doesn't show the Notification options :(

Open the Airpods Case lid, go to Bluetooth Settings, tap on the "i" next to your Airpods to access the Airpods settings and see if "Find My" is enabled there.

I don’t see an option in the Bluetooth settings.
