I still don't see the point - I charge AirPods once every week or so, I already have a wireless charger for my iPhone and the charging stand for my Apple Watch on my nightstand and don't really charge during the day...so what is the purpose or advantage of being able to charge two things at once, versus just having two chargers?

I guess it is nice for travel assuming it'll still charge Apple Watch/AirPods/iPhone.

Kind of agree here. Travel convenience and having one product for charging would be nice, but not really worth a huge cost to me. I already have a watch stand and a charging pad that doesn't take up much room.

It appears as though they've tweaked the dimensions slightly. I scaled the original AirPower image from Apple's site to match this one based on the AirPods case, and the new one is bigger.

That’s not funny.

What I cant charge my Apple Watch on it?
That’s right.

And since the picture doesn’t show an XS Max, you can’t charge that either, right?

I haven't seen an image with the watch on it in awhile, I wonder if they are abandoning also charging the Apple Watch on it at the same time?

Or maybe the advertising was prepared to coincide with the launch of the AirPods wireless charging case.

Hmm, only two devices? Maybe they gave up on Apple Watch support? If so, it better not cost more than $100
I highly doubt it. Apple is charging $80 just for an Apple Watch stand. Apple charged extra for an AirPods wireless charging case. It’s going to be around $250.

And just because they show two devices, does not mean AirPower can charge only two devices........

I think the point is to be able to place any device in any position or orientation and have it charge. It's more of a convenience thing than an absolute necessity IMO.

Someone who gets it.

Where does it say that you can’t charge an Apple Watch on it?

There no iPhone XR in the pic, does that mean it won’t charge that either?

The wait for AirPower has been slowly killing me. Don't know if I can wait another day. Need it now!

I don't know why anyone would want this, considering you can get wireless chargers for $15 at Wal Mart. Want to charge multiple devices? Just get two of them.

..and now I'm wondering what happens if you placed two chargers on top of each other...

Yeah, that’s normal. It’s also not elegant, it’s a mess with cables. I don’t know what your lifestyle and Home is like, but I want nice, clean, simple aesthetics in my home.

Third-Party wireless chargers also can’t charge the Apple Watch.

If it can charge my new AirPods, iPhone, and Apple Watch while costing no more than $99. I will consider.

The odds of this costing $99 are about the same as a headphone jack returning in September.

$199 is closer to reality, maybe $149. But even at $199 it will lowly be sold out for months.

AirPower would be nice for the Apple Watch however, those with the Sports loop or similar bands would be out of luck.

Why?

I have an AirPower mat I just got from the Apple store.

I'm about to fly it to the Soviet Union in 2019 aboard Braniff Airways on a MD-11 into Stalingrad. I plan on introducing it to the Politboro this year for use on the Buran orbiter.

Along with freeze dried rainbow unicorn poops. Lots and lots of rainbow unicorn poops.

I don’t understand why this charging mat is such a big deal. I think what we need is a more advanced iPhone to make people wanna show it off

so much hype Around a charger...... I don’t get it.

The only ‘hype’ you Hear/read about online on sites like this. I’m willing to believe the majority of average consumers have no idea what the Airpower even or maybe even have forgotten about it.

I don’t understand why this charging mat is such a big deal.

But the main advantage to the Airpower is you can leave the device anywhere on the mat, and it will charge, as compared to other wireless charging docks, that requires a specific contact point for it to charge.

Why?

Because the loop will more than likely block out the wireless charge, unless you decide to disconnect one of the Apple Watch bands.

Are they trolling us? Surprised to see no new Apple products this morning. Maybe it will drop later in the day. I'm getting used to new Apple products every day!

Do you guys think in 20 years Apple will be able to release a new product every day of the entire year? With how much they're expanding into new categories I wouldn't doubt it. Kinda ridiculous.

One new case color or watch band design a day.

This is just further validation that AirPower's going to be straight Qi. There's no Watch on there...

This is literally a page about AirPods. I don't think you can derive that the devices it's capable of charging have changed based on a hidden media image that is mostly the same as the existing one on a page that does not focus on the Watch.

Why are people so obsessed with Airpower? Why am i so obsessed with it please help me.
