I'm really surprised Apple does not focus an Ad on how the iPad will give you access to more cats on the internet. I know this is the most important thing something like an iPad or iPhone should do for a consumer.

But maybe they just want to show us how the iPad can make us more efficient in life so we have more time to play Angry Birds? :p

Okay... really... I do think they could be more high tech and show the iPad morphing into some sort of alien robot or some sort of crazy spaceship that the iPad controls. I know this would sell me on the high-tech'ness of the iPad. :D

Okay.... I'll stop... maybe the competition will use these amazing idea's and show Apple how to do it?

Some people say upgrade to alternative software but are no alternative titles for a lot of the software. Apple should not be abandoning Rosetta and they should not have abandoned Classic.

I see you must be in a tough spot with a software package you need for your business but no future for it. I am sympathetic to your plight. I also have learned that the way to run software for a business is to plan for the future. Emulation is a stop-gap that shouldn't be relied on forever. It's designed to get you over the transition, but at some point you move on to native code that is maintainable and flexible for future needs.

A decade of Rosetta is enough to make such a transition. If you need to move on, but have no software available, have you thought about contracting with a software developer to create a native XCode version that you can use for the next ten years? Do you have someone available who is a developer and can do this for you as a favor?

If not, you don't have to upgrade to Lion. The solution you have will continue to work for as long as you want. Maybe new machines can run Lion, but you keep a dedicated box that runs Snow Leopard for that application.

Just some thoughts about being in a tough situation. In the long run, please try to transition off of emulation software whenever you can. These are the risks you take. Life constantly changes, and so does our software.

Perfect ad for those who are afraid of technology and change. Not only does it convey a message that you'll continue to do all the things you love to do, but it demonstrates just how simple (non-complex) it is to do them.

I'm wondering if a Google toilet seat would sell just as well :D

Google won't "sell" toilet seats, they will "give" them away.

Of course section 11 of the TOS will allow you to keep your copyright, but they will share your waste with their partners. Just think, your wife, girlfriend, or mistress takes a leak, and you get flooded with ads for baby care stuff. :)

another Lion

The iPad ad "Now" also has a Lion reference - the star constellation shown is Leo

I like how these commercials focus on user experience over power and specs.
People hate on my apple stuff because it doesn't have the latest and greatest specs, but my experience is great, and I love it

Agreed....for example, I hat that Motorla Xoom where the guy with the greased up hair crushes the laptop in half, showing his strength, and tablet comes out.....Major douche

I just have to smile at the subtly obvious lion pitches, in the commercial. Can't blame them, but it's just enough shameless camp to be enjoyable, when you catch it. At least they don't cut in a bunch of quick roaring lion flashes (the subliminal message thing) during the commercial. (or is someone going to record the commercial, and look at every frame to see if they did just that?)

Yes because our children learn to write using the point of their index finger on capacitive touchscreens

Puh-lease.

And claim that they have the leading 35% marketshare of all "Smartoilets(TM)" in the world. The lucky thing is, it's not easy to return a toilet seat!
