Holy crap! Just checked out those Vaja cases and the one I liked was $170:eek:

And I thought $40 was steep for the Apple one:p

I have a vaja case, which is is similar price range. But the wool part is just splendid.

Too bad you live in mumbai, was thinking of getting it and splitting the cost so I can have the case and you can get the wool lol

Is there any place other than Apple that sells the leather case? Places like Best Buy, Target, Walmart, etc.

Just received my Apple leather case in Black for my Space Grey 32gb Verizon iPhone 5S. Very impressed. Appropriately premium, upscale feel that the 5S deserves. One feature that I haven't seen mentioned is the lightness of the case. This case does not weigh the iPhone down like perhaps other cases might. Highly recommended!

Does anyone know if it's actual leather? I was thinking of getting the brown/beige and putting on some mink oil to darken it

i dont normally like cases at all i have a few at home that i sometimes use at the gym or if im going out to the bar for a night i have the life proof case but i may try the leather case. i just hope that my car charger works with it.

Does the brown get dirty or stained quickly?
i like the contrast of brown and black but might go with all black.

Hey, could you post some photos of that combo please?
Thanks

It is as others stated hard to take off. If you switch cases often, could be a little frustrating. I have found if you pull case off from bottom left side if facing front of phone, the case will pop off easier.

I've been wondering what the best way would be to take the case off without scratching it (my precious). This definite is the cure. Thanks for that!

I received mine... oh well :(

Now I have to exchange in Store...

I was debating between brown and black for my space gray 16gb AT&T, but after seeing them in person at the Apple store, I went with the black.

I really wanted the brown for a different look but it just appears a little too orange for my taste. The black on black does look really nice.

I am at the apple store now for my phone but trying to decide on brown or black.

Favor to ask all of you that have this case.

I have 1 black and 1 red however, my black case looks warped. You can see its not straight. I only mention this because I am thinking I will exchange it for another.

If you look at your case when it does not have a phone in it can you tell me if it is straight? Easy way to tell is lay the empty case face down on a flat surface and does it lay flat?

I am thinking a warped case will put undue pressure on areas on the phone but want to see if this is common with others out there.

Thanks for any responses you can give.

Are there any similar cases to Apple's except maybe more durable? I don't mind paying more but all these stories of them wearing out quickly make me wary. Specifically, a case with microfiber type cloth on the inside in addition to the leather.
