I've been wondering what the best way would be to take the case off without scratching it (my precious). This definite is the cure. Thanks for that!

I think that there is no way that this case scratch the phone because of the material that is made off. The inside part its like a silk cloth so it wont scratch it. The inside edges are from the same material?? Because I dont have the case yet and I would like to know..
Thanks

Are there any similar cases to Apple's except maybe more durable? I don't mind paying more but all these stories of them wearing out quickly make me wary. Specifically, a case with microfiber type cloth on the inside in addition to the leather.

Case is really nice (tight fit, smells/looks nice), almost too nice that I can see people worried about scratching/scuffing their cases.

Yes, inside back is microfiber. Inside edges are leather like the outside.

Still probably a smart idea to periodically pull the case off and ensure there's no debris sitting in there.

This is probably a bit neurotic, but with respect to the new cases, is it normal to have about a half mm space on the left side between the phone and case, or should it literally be skin tight without ANY give?

My black one is tight no gap.

Because it is made from leather expect some slight give on the sides over time. You will notice this when you press the volume buttons. It is very very minor and normal. Now if you have a gap on the side that you can see straight down I would exchange it.

Love the gold phone in the brown case. Feels great too. Here's mine:

Favor to ask all of you that have this case.

If you look at your case when it does not have a phone in it can you tell me if it is straight? Easy way to tell is lay the empty case face down on a flat surface and does it lay flat?

Mine lays flat, no issues.

is anyone taking this case off once they put it on, it's very difficult. maybe some put the case on and leave it on forever.

I got the brown on space grey case, it's a spiffy looking case, however, it gets dirty/wear easily. I haven't had the case no more than 8 hours and it already has wear on the sides. It's been sitting in my pocket all day.

Glad i got Black, looks like it is the only one not wearing yet. Surely Apple would of tested the other colours?

I'm really surprised by the many reports of how fast these cases are showing wear and grime. Maybe it's because I got the black case, but mine still looks brand new after three days of moderate use.

Here is a pic of wear, the corners and edges. I used my iPhone to upload not sure if I can upload more than one pic.

I wish you guys reviewed the brown as well! Could you maybe add an update later with wear?

The leather is extraordinary thin, and it isn't very durable as you can tell. Best not keep it in a tight jeans pocket. So far there's no wear on my case at all, but I haven't worn any jeans or tight-fitting, ball-squeezing pants either.
