About a 24 inch drop fell out of my pocket on the computer chair and hit one of the legs. Premium leather should not do this.
Difference between premium leather and good quality leather. Premium leather is Louis Vuitton. The case is made of good quality leather, but it is not the best. LV sells iphone cases for around $500 vs $40 by Apple.

Ok what should of it done?

Scuff maybe, not rip . Especially from a short distance. If your going to spend 40 on a case you might as well spend a little more and get a vaja case

Your exactly right the apple case isn't "premium" like apple advertises. I know what premium is I own gucci belts, wallets, shoes. I don't even know what to call the apple case I wouldn't even call it good leather.

Quit coming into this thread and posting about other cases/sleeves. If we cared we would look for input in the other countless threads.

I don't care which case/sleeve you are getting and I'm not trying to sell anything.

I just thought it would be nice not to contribute to the leather industry.

Not everyone here is trying to sell something....

Maybe it's just me, but the 5S with the Apple leather case feels lighter than my iPhone 5 in the Elago Outfit case.

Everyone gets it - You think it's overpriced and poorly made.

Now you're the leather expert and like to brag.

Drop test with the leather case for 5s from 4 feet, 7 feet and 10 feet. No damage to the phone what so ever, it was only damaged when it was dropped faced down. The case is a little dinged up, but what do you expect dropping it onto concrete.

The 5c couldn't survive a 7 feet drop and shattered though

And yet you would want us to buy/contribute from the wool industry?

Wow.

Not mine, I have had a black one since day one, and it still looks brand new.

Same here. I don't baby the case, but I also don't abuse it either (not saying anyone does).

I imagine the wear on a leather case will be directly proportional to how it's used; frequent sliding against semi-abrasive surroundings is going to wear the leather edges more. i.e. those pocketing the phone in skin-tight heavy denim pants are likely to experience more wear than those pocketing the phone in a sportcoat or dress pants.

Agreed. Vaja Cases also uses high quality leather -- good alternative for high quality leather thats better than Apple's but less expensive than LV / Gucci / Botegga.

Are you ME:)

Hang on i will just try it;)

Bose OE2i fit.

The OE2i jack sheathing looks to be the same as the one on my MIE2i in ear phones. Sorely tempted to upgrade my Pixel Speck HD black case to either a brown or red Apple case. Just wish I could try one out first to check headphone jack fits etc.

Still have the fondest of memories of my Apple Leather Case for my 5th gen iPod 60GB. Once I got past the cost it was an awesome case on which the leather aged beautifully.

So, after 6 days, my brown leather case is starting to show its first signs of wear, around the edge around the screen and a little on the corners where I slide it into my phone holder in the car. By all looks, though, the wear on the brown case is eventually going to make the case look pretty good. It simply darkens the leather and such...could look really cool as long as I don't tear the leather.

I think that's the issue here - brown and black leather ages well and looks natural. Red, yellow, and blue leather just looks dirty.

Ugh I was thinking about getting the yellow one too. Anyone have pics of the yellow case after a week of use?

I gotta get one of these. The Spigen stuff I ordered doesn't look like it's going to come. And I love the look of these Apple leather cases. Wonder if the fit is too tight for accomodate the Sticker Boy side pieces I bought.

How are the cases holding up guys?
I would really appreciate a few pics of how they look like after some use. :)

Especially the black and brown ones.

my black looks exactly like how I got it about 2 weeks ago. There are some slight scratches to the leather if you look really hard but I don't care as it'll blend in when it wears more.

Apologies if this has already been answered, but has anyone tried this case with an aux cable? I've had cases in the past that the aux cable wont fit in properly

I use about 5 different AUX cables, I think one fits.
It all depends.

I'm shocked at how many headphone jacks won't fit with this case, it is like the iPhone 1 all over again.

Radio Shack sells a cheap Gigaware headphone microphone adapter, I use that and it works with all my headphones, aux cables.

Ahh nuts, knowing my luck the one in the car I use for plugging in iphone/ipod wont work

My blue case is already a bit darker blue on the corner due to it going in and out of my blue jeans all day. I already have some other marks forming that aren't the prettiest! I think I will get more use out of my black case but the silver looks so purty with the blue case. :(
