Anyone out there drop it from waist/chest high yet. Did it survive well?

Mine had a 2 foot drop and it ripped the leather. This is a crappy $40 case. In no way is this premium. It might be some type of compressed leather (what particle board is to real wood). Unless you have $40 to blow don't buy it.

I have the silver really was thinking about getting the brown case but $40 seems just a bit too steep... still waiting on my Spigen Case Linear Metal Crystal that I ordered on the 20th

Quit coming into this thread and posting about other cases/sleeves. If we cared we would look for input in the other countless threads.

Some people should post some pics of natural wear after about a week or so. I'll post my case later in the week after it's been in and out of my pocket a lot.

Just a couple of days use looks like weeks worth of wear.

I have had every iPhone since the original and have never had a case. I always found them bulky, cumbersome and an eye sore over a beautiful phone.
I received the Apple leather case in black on Friday and I am now a believer. The fit and finish are amazing. It is like there is barely a case on the phone. It still keeps the whole Apple look. Buttons work perfectly on mine. Very happy thus far.

I'm on the fence about getting one of these but the price is killing me. $40 is a lot for a case that's mostly looks and has very little to any drop protection. I have a Bose Sounddock Portable and I imagine it will be a pain taking the case off constantly to use it. I have also read that the natural oil on your hands will end up darkening the lighter color cases and that the leather tears very easily.

I'm probably gonna pass. Would love to see some pics after a couple weeks of use.

Blue or beige for the silver iPhone?

Blue!

Although, I might be buying a black or brown one this coming Friday. I wear black scrubs at my job and I noticed that the black dye on the scrubs I believe is wearing on the blue case which is showing marks so I might end up going black. Not sure yet.

I got this case the day it came out for my iPhone 5.. So far so go, the built quality is really good and it protects the back of my iPhone 5.. Best case I've had so far!

But the blue looks better on the silver right? :p Cant make up my mind

Went to Apple to buy the red case for my space grey. Loving the color combo so far. I can't believe are complaining about the leather changing appearance because that is what good quality leather is suppose to do. I find the breaking in the leather the best part because you never know what the end result will look like.

For me it's more so that I failed to consider how quickly red would get dirty, and not a failure of the leather. I like the case and have no problem with the quality, but after only 2 days the edges of my red case are quite dirty. Almost like a used eraser.

I have a hard time believing it's going to even out to anything more than dirty looking red case rather than a nicely aged and worn leather.

Same thing here.

About a 24 inch drop fell out of my pocket on the computer chair and hit one of the legs. Premium leather should not do this.

This red has warp speed aging. I got it on Saturday and it looks significantly different already. I still like it... So far.
