New Apple Leather Case

Thinking about returning my "Yellow" Leather case and possibly switch it with Brown or Red... I don't know how I feel about the yellow case getting dirty. Showing a little bit of darkness already by the left side of the case..

Can we return it through Apple Store within 14 days even if it's been opened?

Quick! Can you tell me how lime-green it looks to you, as opposed to being actually yellow? ;)

I love yellow, but I'm just not into keylime. Some real world images look true-yellow. Others briefly led me to believe that there really was a green option.

I honestly just need to go down to the Apple Store and look at one myself. I'm simply not with a phone yet and not ready to buy one. Sorry to keep bringing this up.

And yes, it sounds like others are being able to return/exchange their opened cases within the 14 days.

Thanks! I'll probably end up returning it and getting the Brown one. To give my phone a neutral look.

To answer your question. It looks more of a yellow-green or lime green in my opinion.

If you've seen the yellow iPhone 5c.. Well that's not what it looks. That's yellow. This isn't. It really is more lime green in my opinion. Probably a hint darker shade than actual lime green in my opinion.

Funny the packaging is actually lime green and not "Yellow" lol ;)

(EDIT: Think of a Highlighter. That's the kind of "Yellow" or green i'm talking about)
 
Sigh… thank you very much. It sounds like white/beige or blue will be the way to go with my [eventual] white iPhone.

It's kind of a shame, but I'll save the disappointment for my exasperated therapist.
 
I can't believe how upset people are about real leather showing appearance changes.

It's light colored leather. If you rub dark things against it, dye will transfer. This happens with purses, wallets, car seats, everything.

This goes doubly so for denim jeans, especially expensive denim.

Get used to it, or get a dark leather or pleather case.
 
Tried it but returning it

Picked the black case up at the Apple Store and immediatly put my phone in the case at the store. Like others have mentioned the buttons feel muddled, esepcially the sleep/wake button. I almost wanted to return it right then and there.

Decided to take it home and give it a longer try to see if the bottons would break in. Witin 2 hours I decided I really don't want a case. It's a pretty nice case assuming the buttons get a little easier to click with time. The thing that bothered me the most was the added width the case added to the phone. It makes the screen look smaller and more enclosed. Basically like a big bezel.

Also, I think the space gray color just looks so good this year with its lighter colored chamfered edge. I went caseless with my iPhone 5 all last year and got way to used to the feel of the raw phone. AppleCare + was my "case" last year. But with the increased price of $79 incident I decided it wasn't worth it this year.

So this year instead of investing in case or AppleCare+ I will just self insure. Hopefully I can keep it in decent enough shape where my resell value won't drop more than $40-50 that a case would have cost me. The irony is that even if it has a few scratches, the person who buys it will probably put it in a case anyway.

Anyway, just sharing my thoughts. Hopefully it helps someone out there.

I find the case to be ultra slim, by far the slimmest case I've ever put on an iPhone, but not to the point where it feels unprotected.

I'm having a difficult time trying to understand how this case would make the screen appear smaller.

so 2 hours was enough for you to hate it?

my black case broke in within a week and it was easier to press the buttons, but today i went in and exchanged for a red one.

after hearing the reviews of dirt showing, i'm probably gonna go back to black.

it's an excellent case. i have been naked since the original iPhone and never had a case, but this has changed my opinion for now.
 
Brown to Black

Just changed my BROWN to a BLACK.

In just 6 days using it, it got BLUEISH color.
 
Got my Black case delivered from bestbuy.com, 2 days early. I've had probably 20 cases for my 5 in the last year, from OB Commuters, to the Spigen Tough Armor to knock off Sector 5's, to the Magpul (always a favorite) but this is the best case I've purchased, hands down. No more cases for the 5, other than possibly a red one of these, in my future. It's the thinnest that I own, next to the caudabe veil, but that's ridiculously thin and nothing can compare with its thinness. I would definitely recommend it to anyone (Apple Leather case). Would have saved me a lot of money if this came out when the 5 did, but regardless, I'm glad I've got it now.
 
I got the product red for my space grey. They didn't have any when I bought it so I had to go back a week later.

It was a tough choice between the black, brown and red for me. But this is the first time I've ever bought a quality case (or one more than 7 dollars). I'm happy with it 100%

Although my leather smell quickly faded lol.
 
I like the grip it has and it doesn't show fingerprints etc. Downside is it does get lint/dust etc in the sides but you can blow it out or get a "lint licker" :)
 
Went to the Apple Store today and got mine switched from "yellow" to Red. So far I'm really liking the change. When I went back to the Apple Store. I saw the difference in "NEW" and the one I had. Definitely saw a shade darker with my yellow case. Not too drastic though that it was life changing. It was okay but I knew that lighter colors would stain a bit easier so I went with the red and can't wait to settle in with this.

Funny you say that. I have the red one and I'm actually really excited for it to age/wear.

Returned mine, I liked the look, but the lip was too small on the front, and I needed a little more protection.

Besides after using some good sena cases, it felt cheap.

It does. I carry it in my work bag attached to a 12" USB/microUSB cable so I can charge phone or BT headset without extra stuff.

I have the white phone with the brown case. Love the combo.

Unfortunately I had a minor drop. From my lap while seated onto the floor. ot a high impact drop whatsoever.

Now there are cuts in the leather. Which I suppose is to be expected but didn't think it would look so bad from one minor minor drop. Ill post pictures once I get a chance
