Those buying the coloured cases and winging about getting dirty go buy the girly 5c and you won't need a case. Leather is best in dark colours.

So do you guys return dirty underwear after wearing it for 2 weeks? I understand why the manager did not want to take it. Not really defective. Wash your hands once in a while, and keep it out of the dirt and you will be fine.

If it's falling apart or not fit for use, and within the return period of the store, of course it should be returned – whatever the item.

Anyone knows where to get it if u live in europe? Or other stores that sell it online except apple store?

I gave mines away. I had the red and then exchanged it for the blue but found out it's made out of leather (I'm vegan) which I thought it was synthetic (fake) leather but it's actual real leather made from animals. Plus, the red and blue cases develop marks after awhile from the constant pulling out of jean pocket, etc. So I gave my blue one to one of my friends. He said he would use it but wasn't sure.

I have an iPhone 5 anyway. So I'll just revert back to my all white iFrogz Ultra slim plastic case :D

Not when it says right on the package that it will discolor. It's neither falling apart or not fit for use.

The wear shown within one week is a bit extreme.

I'm an Apple fan, but I'm disappointed the color cases (red, blue, yellow) weren't well though out.

Here's my case after 1 week.

LOL... it clearly says leather on the packaging so what made you think it was fake?

My red case is holding up well with only two very small spots by the power button that have "lost color". The durability of the case my not hold up over time but I guess we'll see.

Some companies use synthetic leather as I said in my post above. Which is fake leather with different material without the use of animal skin. But I got rid of the case anyway.

Damn that red case looks terrible for being only 1 week old.I was going to get the yellow one but after looking at that, my phone will just stay naked.

New Apple Leather Case

People in this thread who are complaining should stay away from anything and everything that's leather.

Only if you didn't use it in the toilet:rolleyes:

Hmmm quite interesting response. I'm assuming you know this by first hand experience because you've been denied returns because they've found out you use the items your trying to return in the toilet by the appearance of them? You must really learn to use a toilet in that case.

You don't have a sense of humour. Anyone that buys a coloured case leather or plastic it WILL GET DIRTY. For me i stick to black or brown in leather.

To answer your question yes they will take it back.

Return Policy Flexible?

I was just wondering how flexible the stores are with the 14 day return policy. I bought a dock on 9/21. I have been meaning to exchange it for a brown leather case. My first free day is tomorrow, but I realize that is the 15th day since the purchase. If I am exchanging a $29.99 dock for a $39.99 case, does anyone think they will give me a little leeway for that extra day? I know I will find out in the morning, but I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience with this.

Thanks.

Doubt it. I know of someone who was denied purchasing Apple Care because he missed the window by one day.

You can always try though. Go straight to the store manager.

Ahh. Bummer. But I'm not trying to get coverage for a device. I'm actually trying to return something and pay more money for something else. I am going to put some good energy out there that they will work with me.

I think its fair to say that regular use (with clean hands!) in clean clothing, tables etc shouldn't look so grubby after around three days. I could understand after maybe a month, but to be 3 days (when you pay £35 for a case) is not really acceptable. It's not exactly like we're throwing our iPhones in mud is it

Personally, I don't have an issue with the look of worn leather (I'm looking forward to my black case looking like that!) but the discolouration on the red case so quickly in particular was not something I found to be acceptable for such an expensive case...

Good quality leather doesn't pickup and absorb dirt and grime in a few days... (unless you're really freaking dirty!). Quality leather ages and changes color over time, it doesn't do this in 1-2 days and change from red to black. I've had my Vaja case for 4 days now and its not dirty or showing signs of wear yet, while my Apple case looked dirty and worn down after just 2 days of being in my pocket. The Apple case is nice but its made of inferior compressed "leather".
