I bought the Apple Black Leather Case today. So damn nice and feels comfy in hand. My coworker bought the beige one for his silver 5s. Will be interesting to see how they hold up over time.

I've noticed my phone picks up a lot more visible dust than I had thought it would...What gives? Static of some sort attracting it to the screen? Would a protector (glass/film) help the cause?

----------

I first opted out of the screen protector option in favor of apple care along with the leather case. but all this dust has me thinking of putting something else on top of the screen too

My 5S has been attracting A LOT of lint but I'm using a Speck candy shell grip case. Still waiting on my leather case and replacement iPhone.

Does anyone know where to order one in the Netherlands?
The official Apple site doesn't have the cases...

Thanks for the tip, but I would prefer a new one to be honest...

Any Dutch people here who own the case?

Am I correct that the phone will not be available in the Netherlands until the 25th? Perhaps they will start selling the cases then? I could be completely wrong but I don't see why they wouldn't sell them there ....

Alright, I didn't know that...
There is a button on the Dutch Apple site which says "order now", but if you click it it is an empty page.

Just received my new gold iPhone and its brown case - love it!

Yeah, I've got the brown leather case on my black 5s and lint/dust seems to get stuck on the screen (and consequently in the crevice between the case and screen)

You could test out if it has anything to do with the case by switching cases (if you have another case). :p

I tried using the phone without a case but still got a lot of lint. I washed my jeans with the pockets inside out but still.. Conclusion would have to be it's the phones screen? My S4 doesn't have this problem and I have a Speck candy shell grip on it too.

Sounds like it's the phone ...

Anyone who doesn't use a case can corroborate :)

I honestly forgot where I got them as I got them a year ago with a carbon skin I got for my iPhone 5. But a quick google search can get you some from etsy.

The red one with the black apple is cold blooded. That looks really good! I returned my brown case because it started looking bad after 2 weeks of normal use and I don't even put mine in my pocket, I use a belt holster. I'm thinking about trying the red one now but if I do I will have to get a black apple sticker.

Thanks. I think the sticker gives it character. I just ordered new black stickers as this one is one piece and I want the stem to be seperate.

Take it back they will swap it:)

Quick question on how much of the chamfered edge shows with the case on... I've read on some places that you can actually see it, others have said it's all covered up. Considering a brown for my silver 5s

You can definitely still see it. I think it is a really nice look. I tried another case on my phone, and missed seeing the hint of silver (mine is space gray).

I heard shoe polish is the way to go in order to keep the leather looking good. I haven't tried it myself but I'm going to.

For black, use the black Kiwi polish.
For all other colors use neutral.

Apparently after a couple of coats the case will repel dirt and water beautifully while giving the case a bit less of a slippery texture. If it works for leather shoes, why not leather phone cases?

If your case is already dirty, try leather cleaner first.

I have the beige on the white 5s. Looks beautiful. Truly light beige. No pink. All buttons work smooth. After one week it still looks like new. Even in and of jeans as my commute to the city is an hour and a half daily. I do expect it to show wear eventually.
