Let me know how that goes. I have OCD if the screen gets scratched lol. Don't mind so much about the phone body. Well I do but not so much :)

----------

I have used some films. Apart from the pain in getting them on ...no bubbles or dust under them they are okay. But they Don't give the natural feel of the screen

I have never used a for my 4s (or 4) and I don't have a single scratch on it. As long as you don't put it in the same place as your keys and stuff like that it will be fine. I don't baby my screen -- just use a little bit of common sense. :)

I may have to go for a front covering case to protect from in bag and pocket damage

My wife doesn't use them and despite my occasional reminders to use a dedicated pocket in her purses that rarely happens. Her almost 2-year-old 4S doesn't have any scratches on the screen despite this. The glass is much more scratch resistant than most realize.

Worth knowing thank you.

How are these cases wearing? I have heard from some people that they get dirty / worn quite easily?

I have had my black case for two weeks now, and no noticeable wear. It seems like black is the way to go. Around page 37 or 38 (?) of this thread you can see a picture of a worn red case. I really love the look of the red with the black, but have been hesitant to buy one.

Is there a sleeve that will fit the Apple Leather Case? I usually carry my iPhone 5s in my right-front pocket. I'm not sure if this is overdoing it. Thanks in advanced!

The leather Apple case will protect the phone from an 8 foot drop with no damage, you can add a glass screen protector if you're paranoid.

It's a phone, not a Russian doll mate. One case is plenty.

I'm torn between the apple leather case and a clear plastic case. Decisions decision :)
I was torn between the two as well so I purchased both. I have the Apple red leather case and the Luvvitt Clearview case and change them weekly, but I'm starting to like the clear case more. The Apple case is pretty hard to remove, though!

I got the brown leather case shortly after September 20, and I used it on my phone then gave it to my wife for her Gold 5S. I bought the light blue case for my Silver 5S. The brown case has started to show some shininess on the corners, but the blue is flawless after two weeks, and I keep it in my jeans pocket most of the time.
Overall happy with them both. They fit incredibly well and look very professional.

Yikes! That's rough. I wonder how his red case is holding up. Hopefully he will post some more updates.
Whats rough about it? The leather seems to be holding up great with the typical discoloration as expected and written on the back of the box.

for these case to look like this over time and for the price just doesn't add up to me
I agree it's over priced just like pretty much all of apple's products.

Pic of my red case from launch day. (Free r/t loooong wait)

Just exchanged the GFs brown for a black...it looked horrible after being put into jean pockets for a day.

In all honesty, I cannot for the life of me understand why people continue to waste their money on such an overpriced, low-quality case. Is it because of the Apple logo?

Because the fit is perfect, it's slim, it provides just enough face down protection, and it covers with top and bottom with precision cut holes for the speaker/mic, headphones, and lightning port.

There are few if any cases like it available, certainly not leather, and certainly not for $39.

The discoloration issue for the lighter colors is the only down side. True, Apple could have chosen a more finished leather, which would have resisted discoloration better, but that would likely have put it at the over $50 mark, and it would likely not have sold nearly as well.

Please educate us as to what else makes the case so "low quality" in your esteemed anonymous internet opinion.

^ This. I really like the look and feel of the aniline leather but it doesn't wear the way many expect it to. Exactly the reason why I bought it in black and wouldn't have it in any other color.
