New Apple Leather Case

Black looks pretty classy and preserves the look of the device, unlike most other cases.
Picked up the black leather for my slate/black 5 and the blue for my wife's white 5. I consider myself a case whore and I wanted to try Apple's newest. I was a little skeptical at spending $40 for a thin minimalist case. After a day of use I can give this case my highest recommendation. There is just something about the leather texture which makes the phone feel wonderful in the hands. It's almost as if the phone doesn't have a case but there is plenty of protection. There is the perfect amount of lip on the front for lay on the table protection. I read other posts complaining that that the sleep/wake button is hard to press. I couldn't disagree more. All the buttons are perfect. It even smells good!
Camera cutout seems to be big enough, even for the 5s and it's different flash. There is a black ring around the opening as well. I have taken some test shots and everything looked great.
A couple of concerns though. The back of the box states.."It's appearance will change as you use it." Ummm..I hope not too much. This could be a future issue. For $40 it should last.
It is as others stated hard to take off. If you switch cases often, could be a little frustrating. I have found if you pull case off from bottom left side if facing front of phone, the case will pop off easier.
I give this case my highest recommendation. It's my new daily flyer. Give it a try!

i usually hate cases, but for some reason i love this one.
i was about to return it because my aux cable does not fit, so i took it off and didn't really like the naked feel. the leather adds grip, protection and is very nice.
kind of thinking of returning the black one and getting the red case.

Chose red, but I'm so used to not using a case that I'm going without it for now. If I do keep it, I'll need a way to keep lint from accumulating on the screen. We'll see...
So far, I'm really liking the case. It actually looks and feels of high quality, and is very minimalistic. It feels great in the hand. The only negative is what has already been said, it's very, very difficult to take out of the case.
Uhh the appearance of leather cases usually change over time. The appearance of my Vaja Nuova Pelle case has changed for the better through daily use.
The appearance of leather changing through use has been like that since...forever.

Look for someone that has a leather Smart Cover on their iPad.
My Smart Cover has scratches and looks darker than when I first got it. Shows character.
I agree. It was the only one i had at the time and had to put something on. My SGP will be here soon.
